    摘要: Fluid heating devices may be utilized, for example, to heat a vehicle coolant and may include a rotor body rotatably supported within a rotor housing. A plurality of blades may be disposed on a circumferential surface of the rotor body and a channel may be defined between each two adjacent blades. Each channel has a base portion, an inner circumferential end and an outer circumferential end. Preferably, the inner circumferential end is longer than the outer circumferential end as measured from the base portion. Further, the outer circumferential ends of the channels may define wall portions and the wall portions are preferably shorter than the inner circumferential ends as measured from the base portions of the channels. In view of this design, it is not necessary to provide shields toward the outer circumferential ends of the channels.

    摘要: A flexible flat cable having a driver integrated circuit (IC) thereon is soldered to a piezoelectric actuator of an ink-jet head. A power source equivalent to a power source that generates a voltage required for ink ejection is connected, through a lead wire, to each electrode provided on one side of each piezoelectric element. A negative power source is connected, through another lead wire, to each electrode provided on the other side of each piezoelectric element, that is, on the opposite side from the driver IC. After the piezoelectric actuator is coupled to the flexible flat cable, the piezoelectric elements are polarized using these two power sources.

    摘要: A viscous fluid type heat generator including a housing assembly defining therein a heat generating chamber and a heat receiving chamber, a drive shaft rotatably supported by the housing assembly, a rotor element mounted to be rotationally driven by the drive shaft for rotation within the heat generating chamber, and a viscous fluid, held in a gap defined between the inner wall surfaces of the heat generating chamber and the outer surfaces of the rotor element, for heat generation under shearing stress applied by the rotation of the rotor element. At least a part of the housing assembly, which defines the heat generating chamber, is made of a material of which a linear expansion coefficient is larger than that of a material of the rotor element.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for producing colorful inorganic pigments, which comprise complex oxides of various elements, which have good weather resistance and good heat resistance, and which are widely used in colorants for ceramics and in colorants for coatings and plastics. In the method, the composite oxides are sintered at a low temperature for a short period of time to give homogeneous and well colored pigments. Under the sintering conditions, the composite oxides are not sintered excessively. The grinding step in the method is simplified. The method comprises mixing oxides of elements to constitute specific inorganic pigments, or compounds that can be converted into such oxides under heat, in predetermined ratios, followed by calcining the resulting mixtures, and is characterized in that the raw materials are dry-processed in a grinding machine, without being subjected to said mixing step, to thereby give to the raw materials sufficient energy enough to induce the mechanochemical reaction of the materials to compound them into composite particles comprising the raw materials in the compounding ratios.

    摘要: A viscous fluid type heat generator having a heat generating chamber in which heat generation by the viscous fluid is carried out in response to the rotation of a rotor element applying a shearing action to the viscous fluid, a heat generation control chamber for containing the viscous fluid to be supplied into the heat generating chamber and receiving the viscous fluid withdrawn from the heat generating chamber so that an ability of quickly increasing and decreasing the heat generating performance of the heat generator is achieved in response to a requirement for a change in the supply of heat to be exchanged with a heat exchanging liquid of a heating system. The heat generator has a fluid supplying passage, a fluid withdrawing passage, a fluid supplying recessed groove in the heat generating chamber, and a subsidiary fluid supplying passageway which are arranged so as to provide a fluid communication between the heat generating chamber and the heat generation control chamber. The heat generating performance is quickly reduced by withdrawing the viscous fluid from the heat generating chamber into the heat generation control chamber via the fluid withdrawing passage, and the heat generating performance is quickly increased by supplying the viscous fluid from the heat generation control chamber into the heat generating chamber via the fluid supplying and subsidiary fluid supplying passages.

The valve supplementing means may be a subsidiary fluid port to introduce therein the viscous fluid from the heat generating chamber so as to cause a supplementary deformation of the flap valve.
