    摘要： A disc brake comprising a holder secured to a nonrotatable part of a vehicle, a first pin secured to the holder and extending in the opposite direction therefrom with one end portion straddling the circumference of a rotatable disc, a second pin secured to the holder and extending in the direction separating from the disc, a pair of friction pads on the opposite sides of the disc, a caliper slidably supported on the second pin and the other end portion of the first pin, and a third pin mounted on the caliper and spaced from the first pin in the direction of the circumference of the disc and supporting one ends of the friction pads, the other end of at least one of the friction pads being slidably supported on the first pin. The present invention enables reduction of the size and the weight of the holder. Further, the pad replacing operation can easily be performed without releasing the connection between the caliper and the holder.

    摘要： A thermal fusing device for softening toner images is provided in combination with a transport at the exit of the fuser which transport is characterized by a pair of nip-forming members one of which is provided with a plurality of recesses for receiving belt structures fabricated from a silicone rubber material. A second roll is provided also having recesses for receiving the belts and this roll is positioned remotely from the first mentioned roll so that the belts are entrained about the two rolls such that they protrude from the recesses to thereby provide a nip-forming roll wherein only the belts contact the toner material carried by the copy substrate. Additionally, a fan is provided for cooling the surface of the belt so that the toner will more readily solidify and the paper can be stripped therefrom due to the beam strength of the paper.

    摘要： The present invention provides a polishing film with which, even when water containing impurity ions is used as a polishing liquid, the abrasive particles comprising SiO2 are less apt to adhere to the polished surface, e.g., the polished surface of an end of an optical fiber itself, and which is less apt to cause the optical loss attributable to scratches or edge chips in the polished surface. The polishing film hence renders good finish-polishing quality possible. This polishing film is characterized by comprising a substrate and an abrasive layer which has been disposed on a surface of the substrate and which comprises abrasive particles comprising SiO2, a binder resin, and an adhesion inhibitor containing a phosphorus compound.

    摘要： The condenser heat exchanger includes a housing that provides a gaseous stream flowpath and a bottom wall. A gaseous stream contains acid. The housing has a fluid inlet configured to introduce a liquid, such as water. A coolant tube is disposed within the housing in the gaseous stream flowpath and provides a coolant path. Acid condenses on and falls from the coolant tube into a collection area that is provided at the bottom wall near the coolant tube. The collection area is configured to maintain storage of a predetermined amount of fluid that includes the liquid, which dilutes the condensed acid.
