A magnetic microvalve using a metal ball according to an aspect of the invention may include: an upper substrate having a microchannel serving as a passage through which a fluid moves, a fluid inlet through which the fluid flows into the microchannel, and a fluid outlet through which the fluid, having passed through the microchannel, flows out of the microchannel; a lower substrate having a trench locally provided therein; a PDMS/metal ball combination having a metal ball and PDMS surrounding the metal ball so that the metal ball is located in a central portion thereof, the PDMS/metal ball combination being inserted into the trench provided in the lower substrate; and a magnet located above the microchannel, provided in the upper substrate, and generating magnetic force.

An electronic relay for single phase induction motor, the electronic relay including a triac located between a start winding and a start capacitor of the single phase induction motor to control current flow of the start winding and an induced voltage detection circuit to detect an induced voltage of the start winding proportional to an angular velocity of the motor. The electronic relay is adapted to detect a zero-point voltage of a motor line voltage before start of the motor and to calculate an acceleration torque during start of the motor. The electronic relay is programmed to turn on the triac when the zero-point voltage of the motor line is detected and to turn off the triac when the acceleration torque begins decreasing.

The metal nanoparticle sensor using the mixed ligand improves sensitivity and reaction speed with respect to an analyte, and selectivity with respect to various analytes, and a kind and a composition of a ligand of the mixed ligand constituting the metal nanoparticle sensor are adjusted to allow the high sensitivity nanoparticle sensor to be applied to the sensor array technology, thereby enabling a design of sensor properties as well as systematic access to a configuration of the sensor array the most efficient for the analytes.

The present invention relates to a process of preparing a spherically-shaped positive active material for a lithium secondary battery, comprising: (a) uniformly dissolving a raw material mixture comprising a lithium-based compound, a transition metal, phosphate-based compound and a carbon source in deionized water; (b) preparing a high density spherically-shaped precursor by rapidly freezing the mixed solution in a freeze granulator and sublimating the frozen mixed solution; and (c) thermally treating the high density spherically-shaped precursor.The thus-prepared spherically-shaped positive active material is superior in crystallinity and electric conductivity, thus being useful in the manufacture of an electrode for a lithium secondary battery.
