    摘要: A receiver for an OTDM/PDM pulse train (10) in which the pulses (12) have alternating polarizations (P1, P2) has a polarization insensitive optical switch (16; 161, 162, 163, 164) for isolating optical pulses (10′) within the pulse train (10), and a polarization selective element (17) for separating from the isolated pulses (10′) at least one component that has a single polarization. This allows to considerable relax the constraints posed on the switch since components in the isolated pulses that result from interchannel interference can, at least to a large extent, be eliminated by the subsequent polarization selective element (17).

The lift includes a power actuating system, a platform assembly having first and second platform sections, and a linking assembly connecting the power actuating system to the platform assembly. The linking assembly includes first and second vertical arms connected to the platform assembly. The platform assembly is movable between a fully extended configuration, a pre-stowed position and a stowed position. The first and second vertical arms are a first distance apart when the platform assembly is in the fully extended configuration and the pre-stowed position and a second distance apart when the platform assembly is in the stowed position. The second distance is less than the first distance.

    摘要: The invention relates to an exhaust-gas thermal conductor, comprising a tube array with exhaust gas flowing therethrough and cooling medium flowing around the same. The tube array is welded to a tube base, connected to the housing. As a result of varying temperature effects on the tubes and on the housing whilst operating the exhaust gas thermal conductor, thermal stresses, as a result of differing expansion of the tubes and the housing, occur. According to the invention, said stresses may be avoided, whereby slots are arranged in the housing sleeve, which are externally sealed by means of a bellows.

    摘要: A phase error correction technique in data communication receivers such as WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) receivers is provided. A signal having a phase error is received, and a phase error correction mechanism having a loop structure is operated on the input signal to correct the phase error. The corrected signal still has a residual phase error. The residual phase error is then compensated taking into account a loop time delay of the loop structure. Further, a phase change rate may be taken into account, and a smoothing process may additionally be performed.
