Abstract: Displaying the images encoded in a display signal which also contains synchronization signals and display enable (DE) signal. The DE signal indicates the time points at which the display data portion of the display signal contains active pixel data elements representing image frames. A display unit generates HDISP and VDISP signals (indicative of the active time in which active pixels and lines are respectively received) based on the DE signal. As the DE signal generally tracks (in the time domain) the active pixel data elements, the active pixel data elements forming image frames are accurately identified, and a superior image quality generally results.

Abstract: An optical fiber coupler according to the present invention comprises two optical fibers which each include a core portion serving to propagate light and a clad portion surrounding said core portion, the two optical fibers extending substantially in parallel in a same flat plane, and a melting portion in which the clad portions of the two optical fibers are fused together substantially in a line contact. Two optical fibers are arranged in parallel to permit at least parts of the clad portions to be brought into contact with each other. In this state, the two optical fibers are heated and fused mutually substantially in a line contact and are further drawn for fabrication thereof. The optical fibers are heated preferably employing an electric ceramic microheater. The two optical fibers may be same or different in structural parameters.

Abstract: A production process of a Mn—Zn ferrite enables wastes of sintered cores to be recycled without serious difficulties in sintering. The production process includes recycling a powder obtained by milling a sintered Mn—Zn ferrite, thereby obtaining a sintered core having a component composition including 44.0 to 49.8 mol % Fe2O3, 4.0 to 26.5 mol % ZnO, 0.02 to 1.00 mol % Mn2O3 and a remainder MnO.

Abstract: A tube for a heat exchanger has notch portions at a longitudinal direction end portion to be inserted into a header tank. Further, several passage holes are provided in the tube to extend in a longitudinal direction of the tube in which refrigerant flows. The notch portions are formed by cutting parts of the tube to be defined by cut surfaces. The passage holes are not provided at portions corresponding to the cut surfaces. Therefore, the passage holes are securely prevented from being crushed and cut when the notch portions are formed by cutting. As a result, joining failure between the tube and the header tank can be prevented.

Abstract: An operational amplifier has a differential amplification section, an output section, a control signal generation unit, and a drive control unit. The output section has a first transistor of a first conductivity type and a second transistor of a second conductivity type that is opposite to the first conductivity type. The first and second transistors are connected in series between a first power source unit and a second power source unit, and the first transistor is driven according to an output of the differential amplification section. The control signal generation unit is used to detect a current flowing through the first transistor and generate a control signal in response to the detected current. The drive control unit is used to drive the second transistor in response to the control signal.

Abstract: A heat exchanger in which refrigerant flows has a first core portion disposed in a first air passage for exchanging heat with inside air and a second core portion for exchanging heat with outside air. The second core portion is disposed at a downstream side of the first core portion in a refrigerant flow direction. Accordingly, refrigerant exchanges heat with inside air, first, and then exchanges heat with outside air, a temperature of which is lower than that of inside air. Further, refrigerant flows to form an opposed flow with respect to an air flow direction in the respective first and second core portions. As a result, heating performance of the heat exchanger is improved.

Abstract: A radiator includes a plurality of flat tubes in which refrigerant flows, corrugated fins each of which is disposed between adjacent the flat tubes, and a header tank disposed at both end sides of each flat tube in a longitudinal direction of the flat tubes. A plurality of insertion holes into which the flat tubes are inserted are formed in a tank portion of the header tank, and each of the insertion holes has a hole width approximately equal to a tank width of the header tank in a width direction perpendicular to both of the longitudinal direction of the flat tubes and an extending direction of the header tank. The tank portion of the header tank is integrally formed from extruding or drawing, and the insertion holes are formed by shaving the tank portion after the extruding or drawing. Thus, the insertion holes can be readily provided in the tank portion integrally formed from the extruding or the drawing, and pressure tightness and manufacturing workability of the header tank can be improved.
