    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, the described techniques provide for reception of system information via a wake up radio of a user equipment (UE). The network may indicate a configuration for receiving system information via the wake up radio (e.g., a second radio of the UE), where the wake up radio receiver uses less power than the main radio of the UE (e.g., the first radio of the UE). The network entity may transmit a signal(s) for reception via the wake up radio that include system information that would be included in a master information block (MIB), a system information block (SIB), and/or a synchronization signal block (SSB), for example to reduce latency associated with waking up the main radio from a sleep mode or in order to increase bandwidth and/or provide additional system information or more frequent system information to the UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a wireless device may modify a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) generation and attachment operation based on a secret key to support enhanced security. In some examples, a first device may identify a set of data to transmit to a second device and prior to transmitting the set of data, the first device and the second device may obtain a set of key bits for data protection. The first device may generate a bit vector based on a subset of the set of key bits and a cyclic redundancy check polynomial. The transmitting device may then generate an encoded codeword based on the bit vector and transmit the encoded codeword to the second wireless device. The second device may decode the encoded codeword and obtain the set of data based on the set of key bits.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An energy harvesting wireless device may accumulate energy during an energy harvesting state for use in subsequent operation. In some cases, the energy harvesting wireless device may detect a trigger, such as a change in an energy status of the energy harvesting wireless device or explicit control signaling from a network, for transmitting a power headroom report (PHR), channel state information (CSI), or both. The energy harvesting wireless device may transmit the message including one or more of the PHR or the CSI and indicating that energy information (e.g., an energy report, an energy request, or both) is multiplexed with the PHR, the CSI, or both. In some cases, the message may include control information such as a medium access control (MAC) control element (MAC-CE).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message scheduling multiple downlink control messages associated with a burst. The control message may indicate a condition associated with canceling decoding of a first set of downlink messages from the multiple downlink messages based on a failure to decode a second set of downlink messages from the multiple downlink messages. In some examples, the condition may indicate a threshold quantity of negative acknowledgment messages or a threshold quantity of downlink messages. As such, the UE may cancel the decoding of at least a subset of the first set of downlink messages from the multiple downlink messages based on the condition. In some cases, the UE may transmit an indication that the UE canceled the decoding of the at least subset of the first set of downlink messages.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a control message indicating a set of periodicities determined at the network entity and associated with at least a first duration of a set of first durations for the UE to perform signaling and measurement, the first duration aligned outside of a second duration of a set of second durations for the UE to receive data based on the set of periodicities. The UE may perform one or more operations during the first duration based on the first duration of the set of first durations being aligned outside the second duration of the set of second durations. The UE and the network entity may communicate based on the control message indicating the set of periodicities and the UE performing the one or more operations during the first duration.
