Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain a discontinuous reception (DRX) short cadence value that corresponds to a number of Hertz (Hz). The UE may sleep as part of a DRX cycle. The UE may wake up, starting at a subframe, based at least in part on the DRX short cadence value and a subframe identifier of the subframe. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Some techniques described herein provide autonomous modification of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a grant for a transmission by a user equipment UE. For example, the UE may receive a grant (e.g., a configured grant) indicating a resource allocation and a first MCS for a transmission on the resource allocation. The UE may use the resource allocation for a transmission of a number of transport blocks (e.g., one or more transport blocks), and may use a second MCS, different than the first MCS, for the transmission. In some examples, the second MCS may be a lower MCS, associated with a lower modulation scheme and/or code rate, than the first MCS. Thus, a per-resource-block power consumption of the transmission is decreased by using the second MCS, which provides power savings while reducing or eliminating padding of the uplink communication.

Abstract: A UE transmits information to a network node indicating at least one of an aggregation capability or payload pattern information for multiple uplink data flows of the UE and receives a grant of uplink resources for the multiple uplink data flows based on the information transmitted to the network node. A network node obtains information from a UE, the information indicating at least one of an aggregation capability or payload pattern information for multiple uplink data flows of the UE; and provides a grant of uplink resources for the multiple uplink data flows based on the information transmitted to the network node.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for computer processing. Aspects of the present disclosure can determine at least one of a quality, latency, or capacity of a communication link for communication between a client device and a server. Aspects of the present disclosure can also determine a computational load for an application computation between the client device and the server. Moreover, aspects of the present disclosure can adjust a computational distribution for the application computation between the client device and the server based on at least one of the computational load for the application computation or the at least one of the quality, latency, or capacity of the communication link. Aspects of the present disclosure can also determine a computational capacity of at least one of the client device or the server.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for distributed processing. For instance, a process can include transmitting a discovery message, receiving a response to the discovery message, the response including an identifier of a neighboring device, transmitting an offloading request to an offloading server, the offloading request including the identifier of the neighboring device, receiving, from the offloading server, an indication that the neighboring device is selected to perform offloaded processing, transmitting data for processing to the neighboring device, receiving, from the neighboring device, processed data, and transmitting an indication of an amount of completed offloaded processing.

Abstract: Various aspects may include methods for managing uplink transmission latency. In some embodiments, a user equipment (UE) modem may determine for each of two or more initial offset times an average time between uplink data arrival times at the UE modem during a configured grant (CG) frame pattern and subsequent uplink slots, select an initial offset time corresponding to the shortest average time, and receiving uplink data at the UE modem for transmission to a communication network according to the selected initial offset time. In some embodiments, the UE modem may determine for each of two or more CG frame patterns, an average time between uplink data arrival times at the UE modem and subsequent uplink slots of the CG frame patterns, select a CG frame pattern corresponding to the shortest average time, and transmit the selected CG frame pattern to a communication network.
