Abstract: A method includes obtaining, by a transmit-receive point (TRP), a set of power metrics for multiple UEs including a served UE and one or more helped UEs, wherein each power metric is estimated from multiple channel quality and performance indicators of one of the multiple UEs. The method also includes calculating a performance metric as a function of at least one of the multiple channel quality and performance indicators of the served UE. The method also includes calculating an interference metric as a function of the set of power metrics. The method also includes determining whether to perform coordinated beamforming based on the performance metric and the interference metric. The method also includes determining one or more precoders based on the determination of whether to perform the coordinated beamforming.

Abstract: A method includes receiving CSI frames among P CSI frames transmitted from another electronic device. The method includes estimating a CSI from each of the received CSI frames as an available CSI estimate. The method includes identifying an impairment model accounting for inclusion of amplitude or phase errors of an estimated CSI corresponding to a p-th CSI frame among the P CSI frames. The method includes compensating, via the impairment model, for the errors in amplitude and phase of P CSI estimates. Compensating for the errors in amplitude and phase of the P CSI estimates can be based on: approximating a missing CSI estimate based on the available CSI estimates; determining an AGC gain value; or computing the errors in the phase based on a weighted least-squares solution. The method includes estimating a breathing rate of a subject based on different spatial dimensions of the P compensated CSI estimates.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses in a wireless communication system. A base station (BS) includes a transceiver and a processor. The processor regulates a transmit power in a direction of an earth station or a predefined receiver by: calculating a power flux density for the BS to the earth station or the predefined receiver; calculating an equivalent antenna gain for other base stations; calculating a directional power back-off level for the other base stations with respect to the earth station or the predefined receiver; generating a restricted precoding matrix indicator based on the calculated directional power back-off level; generating an N1-N2 bitmap for the BS; and applying the N1-N2 bitmap for signal transmission to at least one UE. The N1-N2 bitmap is generated based on: physical parameters of the earth station of the predefined receiver; physical parameters of the BS; an operator input metric; or restricted precoding matrix indicator.

The method includes in response to a triggering event, fetching information on a base station (BS) configuration parameters comprising a location, a height, an antenna pattern, and topographical details surrounding the BS; determining the BS configuration parameters that are error prone and require re-estimation; obtain measurement reports created by at least one user equipment (UE); determining an audit method to perform an audit correction, the audit correction based on the one or more of the BS configuration parameters to re-estimate, available BS information and the measurement reports; performing the audit correction, to obtain a result based on a computed score for each candidate value of the BS configuration parameters; generating, based on the result, one or more corrective actions; and adjusting at least one of the BS configuration parameters based on the one or more corrective actions.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a network interface, a processor and a memory. The memory contains instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the apparatus to identify a target base station and a target slice comprising an electronic device for service level agreement (SLA) monitoring, send, via the network interface to the target base station, a trigger message for initiating SLA reporting by the electronic device of the target slice connected to the target base station, receive, from the target base station via the network interface, at least one SLA report from the electronic device of the target slice, determine an SLA violation level based on the at least one SLA report, determine updated scheduling parameters based on the SLA violation level, and send the updated scheduling parameters to the target base station via the network interface.
