Abstract:
A method and apparatus for a channel feedback by a signal transmitting device in a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system are provided. The method includes transmitting a pilot in which a compression rate is reflected to a signal receiving device; receiving channel related information on a compressed channel from the signal receiving device; and performing a precoding based on the channel related information. The apparatus includes a transmitting unit configured to transmit a pilot to which a compression rate is reflected to a signal receiving device; a receiving unit configured to receive channel related information on a compressed channel from the signal receiving device; and a precoding unit configured to perform a precoding based on the channel related information.
Abstract:
Coordinate multi-point (CoMP) transmission is facilitated by resolving collisions between feedback reporting. Based upon the conditions within the network, collision resolution may be by dropping a channel report during a subframe, multiplexing channel reports from a plurality of user equipment, compressing channel reports from a plurality of user equipment, and combined reporting, either through joint reports or by using carrier aggregation, for conditions between a user equipment and a plurality of transmission points. New signaling and reporting formats facilitate selection of a collision resolution suitable for current network conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for transmitting data from a base station to a terminal in a wireless communication system, wherein the method includes the steps of: determining a terminal for transmitting downlink data; when the downlink data is transmitted, confirming the kind of subframe in which the downlink data is transmitted; when the subframe is a normal subframe, transmitting the downlink data on the basis of a cell specific reference signal (CRS) or a demodulation reference signal (DMRS); and, when the subframe is a multimedia broadcast multicast service signal frequency network (MBSFN) subframe, transmitting the downlink data on the basis of the DMRS.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transmitting channel state information (CSI) by a user equipment in a mobile communication system. The method includes receiving a CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) for measuring a state of a downlink channel and a CSI feedback-related configuration from a base station (BS); determining a channel quality indication (CQI) for at least one transmission point and control information for determining a CQI for multiple transmission points, based on the received CSI-RS and CSI feedback-related configuration; and transmitting the determined CQI for the at least one transmission point and control information to the BS.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus are provided for generating feedback in a communication system. The method includes receiving information about first Evolved Node Bs (ENBs) and a threshold for the first ENBs, which are powered off at a specific time; measuring a channel status for each of second ENBs, which are subject to channel status measurement; selecting a third ENB having an optimal channel status from among the second ENBs, based on the measured channel statuses; generating first feedback information including a cell index and channel status information for the third ENB; measuring a channel status for each of the second ENBs, while the first ENBs are powered off; selecting a fourth ENB having an optimal channel status from among the second ENBs, based on the measured channel statuses; and generating second feedback information including a cell index and channel status information for the fourth ENB.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for reporting Channel State Information (CSI) for operation of a network, when a Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI) and a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) cannot be calculated. The method includes reporting a first Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI); detecting that a Rank Indicator (RI) is changed before a second PMI is reported, the RI being changed within an RI group; calculating the second PMI and a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) using the first PMI; and reporting the second PMI and the CQI.
