    摘要: A driving circuit for a light-emitting device outputs a drive current from an output terminal to the light-emitting device in accordance with a signal current input from an input terminal. The driving circuit includes a drive transistor, a capacitor connected between a gate and a source of the driving transistor, and a resistance device and a first switch arranged in series between a drain of the drive transistor and the input terminal. In addition, a second switch is configured to connect the gate and the drain of the drive transistor through the resistance device when the first switch is closed, and a third switch is disposed in a path through which a drain current of the drive transistor flows from the output terminal to the light-emitting device. The resistance device increases its resistance in accordance with a cumulative amount of a passing current.

    摘要: In order to suppress potential fluctuation by increases in wiring resistance and necessary current amount caused by increases in the size and resolution of a display area, a display area in which a plurality of EL devices and a plurality of pixel circuits are disposed on a substrate is formed. Each EL device is disposed between a lower pixel electrode and an upper transparent electrode on the substrate. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to a power supply line through the pixel circuit, and the transparent electrode is electrically connected to a common voltage line through a contact hole. The power supply line and the common voltage line are disposed parallel to each other at a periphery of the display area, and the power supply line is divided into two lines disposed on both sides of the contact hole. Alternatively, the power supply line is disposed on one side of the contact hole, and the common voltage line is disposed on the other side of the contact hole with a width larger than that of the contact hole.

The drive circuit includes: a first capacitor connected to a gate of a drive transistor; and a second capacitor formed between the first capacitor on a side to which the gate of the drive transistor is not connected, and one end of a light emitting device. The drive circuit corrects an amount of charge of the first capacitor according to a change in potential of the node when the light emitting device starts illumination, and then, causes the light emitting device to illuminate according to the corrected amount of charge.
