    摘要: A compact valve using a shape memory alloy comprises: a moving valve body that contacts an inner periphery of a guide pipe having an built-in orifice, is freely movable and has a sealing portion to seal the orifice; a biasing coil provided between the orifice and the moving valve body; and a wire formed of a shape memory alloy and held between a stationary electrode of the guide pipe and a moving electrode of the moving valve body. The orifice is sealed by moving the moving valve body due to transformation of the shape memory alloy by heating the wire. The moving valve body is enabled to be elastically deformable by providing a coil spring to reduce a stress, so that an overload to the moving valve body due to contraction of the wire is absorbed by elastic deformation of the moving valve body. Thereby, the overload to the shape memory alloy is reduced to prevent deterioration of repeatability of memorized shape, to increase durability and reliability of the valve.

    摘要: In a lash adjuster of a valve gear which employs a serration-shaped thread mechanism, the formation of a tribochemical reactive film is suppressed by using as the materials for its adjuster screw and nut member (or the materials for their thread surfaces) materials that, even if FM oil is used, the friction coefficient will not extremely decrease. The nut member is provided on the underside of an end plate of a lifter body. The adjuster screw is threadedly engaged in a threaded hole of the nut member. The adjuster screw is biased by a return spring. The female threads of the threaded hole and the male threads of the adjuster screw are serration shaped. One or both of the nut member and the adjuster screw, or the pressured thread surfaces of one or both of them, are formed of a material that will not react with oil additives of FM oil to suppress the formation of tribochemical reactive film, thereby stabilizing the operation of the lash adjuster.

    摘要: Plural heat-exchanging plates for forming an evaporator have plural projection ribs. The projection ribs protrude toward outside of each pair of the heat-exchanging plates to form therein refrigerant passages through which refrigerant flows, and to form an air passage between adjacent pairs of the heat-exchanging plates. The projection ribs protrude from flat surfaces of the heat-exchanging plates toward the air passage to disturb a straight flow of air. The projection ribs are provided in each of the heat-exchanging plates to have a protrusion pitch (P1) between adjacent two, and the protrusion pitch is set in a range of 2-20 mm. Further, each of the heat-exchanging plates has a thickness of in a range of 0.1-0.35 mm, and a passage pitch (P2) between the refrigerant passages is in a range of 1.4-3.9 mm. Thus, in the evaporator formed by only using the plural heat-exchanging plates, a sufficient heat-exchanging performance can be obtained.
