Abstract:
A motor vehicle drive wheel assembly comprising a fixed subassembly comprising two outer raceways; a rotating subassembly comprising a wheel hub, two inner raceways and two rows of rolling bodies that are arranged in two pitch planes PP1 and PP2. One of the inner raceways is formed on a rolling bearing ring that bears against a transmission bowl at an annular contact interface situated between the two pitch planes.
Abstract:
A bearing device includes a bearing having an outer race with double-row outer raceway surfaces formed on its inner periphery, a hub wheel and an inner race having double-row inner raceway surfaces formed on outer peripheries thereof opposed to the outer raceway surfaces, and double-row rolling elements interposed between the outer and inner raceway surfaces. The bearing has a constant velocity universal joint separably coupled thereto with a screw fastening structure, in which a stem section of an outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint is fitted to an inner diameter portion of the hub wheel, and in which a plurality of convex portions extending in an axial direction are formed on the stem section, and a plurality of concave portions having an interference with respect to only circumferential side wall portions of each of the plurality of convex portions are formed on the hub wheel.
Abstract:
A bearing device includes a recess-projection fitting structure in which a hub wheel and a shaft section, which is fitted in a hole of the hub wheel of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, are unitized together. In the recess-projection fitting structure, entire fitting regions among projections on the outer surface of the shaft section of the outer joint member and recesses, which fit on the projections, are brought into intimate contact with each other.
Abstract:
A wheel-end disconnect assembly for translating rotational torque between an output shaft and a wheel hub of a vehicle driveline. A knuckle bracket at least partially supports the wheel hub. A clutch is operatively attached to the knuckle bracket, is disposed in selective torque translating relationship between the output shaft and the wheel hub, and is movable between: an engaged configuration wherein torque is translated between the output shaft and the wheel hub, and a disengaged configuration wherein torque is interrupted. An electromagnetic actuator is provided and has a slider selectively movable between a first stable position and a second stable position. The actuator is disposed in force translating relationship with the clutch such that movement from one stable position to the other stable position causes corresponding movement of the clutch between the configurations so as to selectively translate rotational torque between the output shaft and the wheel hub.
Abstract:
A bearing device for a wheel has a bearing including an outer race having double-row outer raceway surfaces formed on an inner circumference thereof, a hub wheel and an inner race having double-row inner raceway surfaces formed on an outer circumference thereof so as to be opposed to the outer raceway surfaces, and double-row rolling elements interposed between the inner and outer raceway surfaces. The bearing has a constant velocity universal joint coupled thereto with a screw fastening structure by fitting a stem section of an outer joint member to a shaft hole of the hub wheel, in which the shaft hole of the hub wheel is formed by penetrating the hub wheel into a cylindrical shape over an axial direction of the hub wheel.
Abstract:
A bearing device for a wheel has a stem shaft of an outer joint member of a constant-velocity universal joint fit and inserted in a hole of a hub wheel, the stem shaft and hub wheel being coupled through an intermediation of a recess-projection fitting structure. Projections extending in an axial direction are provided on one of the stem shaft and an inner diameter surface of the hole of the hub wheel. The projections are press-fit into another of the stem shaft and the inner diameter surface of the hole along the axial direction. Recesses that adhere to and fit the projections are formed in the other. An end on an inboard side of the hub wheel is caulked to an outer diameter side to form a caulking section and preload is applied to a roller bearing by the caulking section.
Abstract:
A bearing device for a wheel prevents backlash in a circumferential direction and has excellent workability for connecting a hub wheel and an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint. The bearing device includes a recess-projection fitting structure in which the hub wheel and a shaft section, which is fitted in a hole of the hub wheel of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, are unitized together. In the recess-projection fitting structure, entire fitting regions among projections on the outer surface of the shaft section of the outer joint member and recesses, which fit on the projections, are brought into intimate contact with each other.
Abstract:
An asymmetrical hub bearing assembly for the wheel of a motor vehicle provides a flanged hub rotatable around an axis of rotation (x), a flange transversal to the axis (x), an outer ring with raceways axially spaced from one another, and two rows of balls, of which the axially outer row has a pitch circle with a diameter greater than that of the axially inner row. The flanged hub includes a tubular portion which protrudes in the axially outer direction beyond the flange and provides a thread for a single central threaded fastener adapted to releasably lock a wheel on the hub.

Abstract:
A bearing device for a driving wheel includes an outer race having an inner periphery in which double-row outer raceway surfaces are formed; a hub wheel and an inner race having outer peripheries in which double-row inner raceway surfaces opposed to the outer raceway surfaces are formed; and double-row rolling elements interposed between the outer raceway surfaces and the inner raceway surfaces. A shaft hole of the hub wheel is formed into a cylindrical shape, and a male spline is formed on an outer periphery of a stem section of the outer joint member so that the stem section of the outer joint member is press-fit into the shaft hole of the hub wheel. With this, recesses caused to fit on the male spline with interference are formed in the shaft hole of the hub wheel, whereby the hub wheel and the outer joint member are separably coupled to each other.
