    摘要: A state setting unit stores a parameter indicating the state of a display device. A packet analyzing unit refers to the parameter to receive a broadcast stream, and analyzes management packets contained in the broadcast stream. A decoding unit uses a result of the analyzing to extract packets constituting broadcast content from the broadcast stream and decode the packets into video frames. A display unit displays video images represented by the video frames. A 3D video image detecting unit uses a result of the analyzing to determine whether broadcast content to be displayed contains 3D video images or not. A transmitter unit transmits a notification signal to a pair of 3D glasses when the 3D video image detecting unit detects that the broadcast content contains 3D video images. A notifying unit operates to urge the viewer to use the pair of 3D glasses in response to the notification signal.

The image decoding device includes: a decoding processing unit (100) which decodes a second view coded with reference to a first view; and a buffer memory (900) provided upstream of the decoding processing unit (100), and when the first view and the second view are assigned with an identical decoding point in time, the decoding processing unit (100) decodes a picture of the second view at a point in time determined by adding a delay time which has a length required to complete decoding of a picture of the first view, to the decoding point in time assigned to the picture of the second view.

    摘要: Provided is a recording medium which enables special playback processing such as fast-forward/rewind although part of the AV stream recorded therein is transformed. An AV stream, a first EP map, and a second EP map are recorded on the recording medium. In the AV stream, part of the multiplexed stream including a first video stream and a second video stream is transformed; the first EP map indicates one or more entry points of the first video stream; and the second EP map indicates one or more entry points of the second video stream. In the AV stream, TS packets constituting I-pictures, of the first video stream, indicated by every 4N-th entry point in the first EP map, and TS packets constituting I-pictures, of the secondary video stream, indicated by the entry points whose presentation time is closest to the presentation time of any one of the every 4N-th entry point in the first EP map.

The video layer includes a step of coding an image to generate a coded stream.
