    摘要: A method for forming a doped region of a semiconductor device includes masking a portion of a substrate with a mask. The mask is configured to create a graded doping profile within the doped region. The method also includes performing an implant using the mask to create doped areas and undoped areas in the substrate. The method further includes diffusing the doped areas to create the graded doping profile in the doped region. The mask could include a first region having openings distributed throughout a photo-resist material, where the openings vary in size and spacing. The mask could also include a second region having blocks of photo-resist material distributed throughout an open region, where the photo-resist blocks vary in size and spacing. Diffusing the doped areas could include applying a high temperature anneal to smooth the doped and undoped areas to produce a linearly graded doping profile.

    摘要: An integrated circuit (IC) fabrication technique is provided for isolating very high voltage (1000s of volts) circuitry and low voltage circuitry formed on the same semiconductor die. Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology is combined with a pair of adjacent backside high voltage isolation trenches that are fabricated to be wide enough to stand off voltages in excess of 1000V. The lateral trench is fabricated at two levels: the active silicon level and at the wafer backside in the SOI bulk.

The motor comprises magnets (M3,M4) which generate magnetic fields to interact with currents in coils of wire (C2,C3) to generate relative rotational motion between an armature assembly (2) and the motor case (4). A shutter (36) with a window (W1) controls light incident on photoresistor (P1) to energize a coil, (C2), and similarly other photoresistors control other coils to cooperatively generate relative rotation. The preferred embodiment uses photovoltaic cells (30) to provide the electric current.

    摘要: Systems, apparatus and methods are described whereby a common power distribution line to which a number of non-networked printers at a given site are connected. The printers are enabled to transfer performance data such as the number of pages printed by each printer to a central data collection station. The central data collection station aggregates the data from each printer may send the aggregated data onto a system print owner/manager. Each printer in the system is provided with a modified power supply or “brick” which normally functions to transform the supply current from the power distribution line to a lower voltage (i.e., 24 v AC) and supply the transformed voltage to the printer for operation thereof. A power-line networking function or capability is added to the “brick” which allows it to communicate with a data collection appliance over the common power distribution line. The “brick” is also modified to contain a feature which permits counting of each page printed on a respective printer.
