Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of detecting one or more metals in as liquid sample. The method includes the step of extracting the metal from the liquid sample and retaining the metal on a binding material. The detection of the extracted metal can be performed with the metal retained on the binding material or after the elution of the metal off the binding material.
Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a method and apparatus for handing over device, and belongs to the field of mobile communication. The method comprises: obtaining the Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) service reception information of the device; according to the MBMS service reception information, selecting a target cell supporting the MBMS service for the device; handing over the device to the target cell. The apparatus comprises: an acquiring module, for obtaining the MBMS service reception information of the device; a selection module, for selecting a target cell supporting the MBMS service for the device according to the MBMS service reception information; a handing over module, for handing over the device to the target cell. By the implementation of the technical solution that selecting a target cell supporting the MBMS service for the device according to the MBMS service reception information, and switching the device to the target cell, the present invention guarantees the continuity of the MBMS service during the handover process of the device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to adjusting at least one of installed building service sensors (10) of a building service system. A sensor coverage area of at least one sensor (10) is adjusted based on information on a position of the installed sensor (10) relative to at least one other sensor (10). For example, to determine the position of the sensor (10) relative to said at least one other sensor (10), each sensor (10) establishes a wireless communication between said sensor (10) and at least one other sensor (10) via a wireless communication means (34) of the sensor (10). For example, information on the positions of the installed sensors (10) is used to assign to each sensor (10) at least one of installed building service supply devices (12) of the system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method, an apparatus and a computer program product for sensing and communicating in transmission systems with shared spectrum usage, which may comprise e.g. a cognitive relay system. The communication between a transmitter and a receiver occurs in two transmission phases via the assistance of a relay. Sensing is performed at the transmitter during the second transmission phase, thus overcoming the need for dedicated slots for sensing.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments for providing multi-bit error correction based on a BCH code are provided. In one such embodiment, the following operations are repeatedly performed, including shifting each bit of the BCH code rightward by 1 bit while filling the bit vacated due to the rightward shifting in the BCH code with 0, calculating syndrome values corresponding to the shifting of the BCH code, and determining a first error number in the BCH code under the shifting based on the syndrome values corresponding to the shifting of the BCH code. In the case where the first error number is not equal to 0, modified syndrome values are calculated corresponding to the shifting of the BCH code. The modified syndrome values are those corresponding to the case that the current rightmost bit of the BCH code under the shifting is changed to the inverse value. Additional operations are performed as described herein.
Abstract:
A method for reporting location information of a user is disclosed, wherein location information of user equipment (UE) is reported during a handover of the UE to another serving cell, and includes: a source evolved Node Base (eNB) initiating a handover procedure; during the handover procedure, the source eNB sending location reporting information to a target eNB, the target eNB acquiring the location information of the UE based on the location reporting information and reporting it to a Mobility Management Entity (MME) corresponding to the target eNB. The source eNB may notify the target eNB based on a handover request of the UE, wherein the target eNB reports the location information after the UE is handed over to another serving cell, so that the target eNB can report the location information of the UE to the MME during the handover procedure of the serving cells.
Abstract:
A technique for operating a wireless communications system that supports multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) communications between a base station and multiple mobile stations involves generating inter-cell interference information at the mobile stations and providing the inter-cell interference information to the base station. The base station uses the inter-cell interference information to calculate channel quality indicators (CQIs) and then makes scheduling decisions in response to the CQIs. Data is transmitted from the base station to the mobile stations according to the scheduling decisions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of identifying in a fluid by measuring the amount of optical rotation the fluid causes in a beam of polarized light. The invention further provides for the use of an optional optically active marker in the fluids in order the impact the amount of rotation the fluid will cause. The invention provides a convenient and reliable means for identifying the fluid before, during and/or after the fluid's use.
