Abstract: A wearable therapeutic device includes a first therapy electrode and a second therapy electrode, each configured to be electrically coupled to an external defibrillator; and a garment configured to house the first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode. The garment is configured to releasably receive a replaceable receptacle configured to store a conductive gel in a location proximate to at least one of the first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode. The garment is configured to releasably receive a receptacle control unit. The receptacle control unit is separate from the replaceable receptacle. The receptacle control unit is configured to activate deployment of the stored conductive gel from the replaceable receptacle.

Abstract: According to at least one example, an ambulatory medical device is provided. The device includes a plurality of electrodes disposed at spaced apart positions about a patient's body and a control unit. The control unit includes a sensor interface, a memory and a processor. The sensor interface is coupled to the plurality of electrodes and configured to receive a first ECG signal from a first pairing of the plurality of electrodes and to receive a second ECG signal from a second pairing of the plurality of electrodes. The memory stores information indicating a preferred pairing, the preferred pairing being either the first pairing or the second pairing. The processor is coupled to the sensor interface and the memory and is configured to resolve conflicts between interpretations of first ECG signal and the second ECG signal in favor of the preferred pairing.

Abstract: A wearable therapeutic device includes a garment configured to be worn on a torso of a patient. The garment has an anterior portion and a posterior portion. The garment is configured to house at least one defibrillator component, a first therapy electrode disposed in the anterior portion of the garment, a second therapy electrode disposed in the posterior portion of the garment, and an alarm module configured to alert the patient of an impending defibrillation shock from the at least one defibrillator component to be delivered by at least one of the first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode. The first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode are configured to be electrically coupled to the at least one defibrillator component. At least one of the first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode is at least one of woven into the garment and comprises a textile material.

Abstract: An external medical device including monitoring circuitry and communication circuitry. The monitoring circuitry monitors a cardiac condition of a patient using the external medical device. For example, the communication circuitry initiates a communication link with a remote location. The remote location can be selected based on data associated with at least one of the external medical device and the patient using the external medical device. In some examples, supporting data can be transmitted to the remote location.

Abstract: A therapeutic device comprises a therapy electrode that includes a substrate, a conductive layer disposed on a lower surface of the substrate, an electrically conductive gel reservoir configured to release an electrically conductive gel onto a surface of the conductive layer, and an acoustic sensor coupled to the therapy electrode. The acoustic sensor is configured to acoustically couple to a body of a subject to which the therapy electrode is applied and to detect sounds indicative of a state of health of the subject. The therapeutic device is configured to transmit data regarding the sounds detected by the acoustic sensor to an external system for processing and analysis.

Abstract: An electrode assembly that includes an electrically conductive layer, a first impedance reduction system, and a second impedance reduction system. Abstract: An ambulatory medical device including a plurality of electrodes configured to be disposed at spaced apart positions about a patient's body, an electrode signal acquisition circuit, and a monitoring circuit. The acquisition circuit has a plurality of inputs each electrically coupled to a respective electrode of the plurality of electrodes and is configured to sense a respective signal provided by a plurality of different pairings of the plurality of electrodes. The monitoring circuit is electrically coupled to an output of the acquisition circuit and is configured to analyze the respective signal provided by each of the plurality of different pairings and to instruct the acquisition circuit to select at least one of the plurality of different pairings to monitor based on at least one of the quality of the respective signal, a phase difference between the respective signal and that of other pairings, a position of electrodes relative to the patient's body, and other criteria.

Abstract: According to another example, a wearable medical device controller is provided. The device controller includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to determine a correlation between a phenomenon identifiable by the wearable medical device controller and at least one response pattern associated with a patient and store, responsive to detecting the correlation, an adaptation path to address the at least one response pattern, the adaptation path specifying an adaptation of at least one characteristic of an alarm. The at least one response pattern may include a plurality of response patterns and the adaptation path may reflect adaptations made to address at least some of the plurality of response patterns.
