The ultrasound emitter emits high-frequency ultrasound between about 200 KHz and 10 MHz. The microbubble emitter emits bubbles with an average diameter of less than 1 mm.

摘要: A method of treating liquid, particularly an oil/water mixture, in an oil well pipe, wherein a radio frequency propagating electrical field is established in the liquid in the pipe cause the formation of seed crystals or scale-forming material in the liquid, on which seed crystals asphaltenes and/or paraffin waxes in the liquid are deposited so that they are carried through the pipe with the liquid in preference to being deposited on the pipe wall.

摘要: The present invention pertains to an effective system and method for reducing or eliminating the formation of scale in desalination systems. The system utilizes at least one pair of electrodes in direct contact with a liquid to induce an oscillating electric field directly in a portion of the liquid or a liquid stream of the desalination system. The electric field is capable of inducing bulk precipitation of ions, minerals, salts, particulates, contaminants or a combination thereof from the liquid stream.

摘要: A water purification apparatus (10) which includes at least one emitter (12) and a processor (14). The emitter (12) is for emitting an electromagnetic wave having a specific frequency through water (14), with the emitter (12) also being configured to propagate the emitted wave through water (14). The processor (16) is arranged in communication with the emitter (12) which processor (16) is configured to automatically regulate a frequency of the electromagnetic wave emitted by the emitter (12) so that the specific frequency or harmonic components of said wave is similar to a resonant frequency of a particular impurity typically found in water (14) in an attempt to destroy the impurity.

摘要: A fluid treatment device including a source of electrical voltage having a first and second terminal, a pulse generator connected to the first terminal and the second terminal and outputting a pulsed voltage wave signal between a third terminal and a fourth terminal, at least one coil positioned adjacent at least one fluid conduit, being electrically connected to the third and fourth terminals and at least one capacitor also being electrically connected to the third and fourth terminals to form a first circuit with an inductance L, a capacitance C and a resonant frequency. The pulse generator is arranged to generate a pulsed voltage wave with a frequency approximately equal to the resonant frequency. A further circuit element is arranged to cause the voltage pulse reaching the coil to repeatedly, alternate between a period of pulsed voltage at the frequency and a period of zero voltage, with each period extending for a time in a range of approximately 2 to 33 milliseconds.

摘要: A method and apparatus for treating a fluid to destroy, remove or reduce undesirable agents, such as microorganisms, particles or ions, contained in the fluid and/or to inhibit the formation of scale. At least two charge carrying bodies or electrodes are spaced from one another by a gap located in or very close to the fluid, and a high voltage and high frequency cyclically varying voltage difference is imposed on the two bodies which creates a charge related cyclically varying electric field extending between the two bodies, across the gap and into the fluid to exert a treating effect on the fluid. The charge related electric field may be used by itself or in combination with other fields created by one or more electric coils associated with the fluid. Where two coils are used, their magnetic fields can be axially bucking and an axial gap between these coils has an axial width of an optimum value yielding an optimum fluid treatment effectiveness for the fields near the gap.

摘要: The present invention provides a physical water treatment (PWT) method and apparatus to treat liquid coolants. Electrodes (22, 24) are provided in a coolant stream (21), and an alternating voltage is applied across the electrodes (22, 24) to produce an electric field through the coolant. The alternating voltage creates an oscillating electric field in the coolant that promotes the collision of dissolved mineral ions. The ions collide to form seed particles that precipitate out of solution. Bulk precipitation of seed particles decreases the availability of ions in solution which can crystallize on heat transfer surfaces. The seed particles adhere to additional ions that separate out of solution and form larger particles that may be removed from the coolant stream (21) using a variety of treatment measures. In addition to precipitating mineral ions, the electric field may be applied to destroy bacteria, algae and microorganisms that accumulate in the coolant stream (21).

摘要: System for treating fluids, especially water, in a pipe to resist scale deposits from building up in the pipe, includes a field generating coil (10) mounted exteriorly of the pipe, an electronic circuit (14) for energizing the coil to develop an alternating electromagnetic field in the fluid, a sensor (18) for sensing a parameter related to the functioning of the system and for generating a parameter dependant signal, a feed back circuit for feeding back the parameter dependent signal to the electronic circuit to control the circuit, wherein the sensor comprises a field measuring coil (16) mounted exteriorly of the pipe near the field generating coil, the feed back circuit comprises the electronics which together with the measuring coil acts as a field strength meter.
