摘要： An actuator for a window lock including a housing mountable to a window frame and defining an opening between opposite sides, one of the sides having a recessed portion therein. A handle is pivotable about an axis within the housing opening and has a central opening with sloped cam surfaces therearound. A cam bushing is receivable in the handle central opening and has sloped cam surfaces engageable with the handle cam surfaces whereby pivoting of the handle relative to the cam bushing axially biases the cam bushing relative to the handle toward a locking position. The cam bushing further includes a stop tab extending from one side of the cam bushing and receivable in the housing recessed stop when the actuator is in a locking position. The cam bushing one side is axially biased toward the housing one side. A lock link is operatively connectable to a window lock for operating a lock in response to pivoting of the lock link, and is pivotally connected to the cam bushing.

摘要： The invention comprises a multiple point latching system for use with postal box clusters. In particular, the multiple point latching system comprises a latch bar, a track member, a plunger assembly and a plurality of latch plates. The latch bar is slidably coupled relative to a center partition in the postal box and includes a plurality of latches thereon. The latch bar slides in a vertical movement within a track member which is coupled to the center partition of the postal box. The plurality of latches on the latch bar present a plurality of latch points which aggregate to achieve the securement of the postal box cluster. The multiple point latching system further comprises a plunger assembly which is coupled to the center partition and which supplies a force that acts upon at least one master door to thereby force at least one master door open upon an unlatching of the latches. Hence, a single lock having multiple latch points is used to access and subsequently secure the entire postal box cluster.

摘要： A door lock is disclosed having a slidable lock bolt with a latching device for releasably retaining the lock bolt in a position intermediate of extended and retracted positions for the lock bolt. The door lock may be used in combination with a remote lock operator and includes a retainer, which is slidably mounted in the lock bolt and which projects beyond the lock housing when the lock bolt is in the intermediate position, so as to be engaged with the remote lock operator and for holding the remote lock in its release condition. When the lock bolt moves to an extended position, the retainer will release the remote lock operator. There is a handle operated actuator rotatably mounted in the housing of the door lock. The actuator has two arms, respectively, to move the lock bolt from its extended to its intermediate position and, at the same time, to engage the remote lock operator for moving it to the remote lock release condition, where it can be engaged by the retainer.

摘要： A window system is proposed in which windows (41) which can be both locked and tilted mechanically are connected via microprocessors (43) to a monitoring center (49) which can display the locking and closure status of the individual windows (41) via visual display units (51, 57). The microprocessors (43) are located in the vicinity of the windows (41) and connected to the receiver (61) of a radio-controlled remote control unit by which the windows can be remotely controlled. The windows (41) can also be controlled via an operating unit (65) in the monitoring center (49). The remote control unit may involve either portable transmitters (63) or transmitters with a fixed location (67) which control the windows (41) via sensors (69) as a function of ambient air parameters, such as the relative air humidity, temperature or the CO.sub.2 content of the air in the room. The windows (41) have a locking drive integrated in the handle and a separate tilting drive. A central blocking device which blocks the microprocessors (43) permits central blocking of individual windows or of all the windows in the system.

摘要： A universal lock for securing any of a variety of different design window sashes closed against any of a variety of different design window frames. The lock includes a pair of spaced keepers on the window sash, and a tie bar mounted to the window frame and having a pair of rollers thereon. The tie bar is reciprocable along its axis to selectively move the rollers into or out of engagement with the keepers of the closed window sash to selectively lock or release the sash from the frame. A base pivotally mounts a handle member to the window frame. A coupler link is pivotally secured at one end to the handle member and has a flange at the other end pivotally secured to the tie bar. The flange has a narrow portion with a first width adjacent the coupler link and a wide portion with a second width spaced from the coupler link. The tie bar includes an opening with a substantially circular portion having a diameter greater than the first width and less than the second width, and a slot portion wider than the second width. The coupler link is positioned at a non-operational angle relative to the tie bar during assembly to allow passage of the flange wide portion through the tie bar opening slot portion. The flange wide portion thereafter holds the coupler link to the tie bar with the flange narrow portion pivotable within the tie bar opening circular portion during operation (i.e., locking and releasing) pivoting.

摘要： A door latch and release apparatus is for moving a door into a finally closed condition with respect to a door frame and initially moving the door out of its closed condition to overcome the force of compressing or decompressing a continuous metallic gasket extending around the entire periphery between the door and the door frame. A handle on the door is linked to one end of a rocker arm which is pivotally mounted on the door. An antifriction rocker arm roller is rotatably mounted on the other end of the rocker arm in position to lie between a latch edge portion of the door frame and a latch plate finger fixedly supported with respect to the door frame latch edge portion. With the door handle in its open position, the door is closed until the roller contacts the door frame latch edge portion, and then the handle is manually moved to its closed position with the roller rolling on the finger to finally close the door with enough force to easily compress the metallic gasket between the door and the frame. To open the door, the door handle is moved toward its open position, and the rocker arm roller moves against the door latch edge portion and rolls against that portion to overcome the frictional forces due to the compressed gasket initially resisting opening movement of the door.

摘要： This invention is an improved switch cabinet latch of the type having a cabinet body and a cabinet door hinged to it with the door held in closed position by means of a push-rod lock on the cabinet door with push rods movable axially by rotational movement of an actuating element such that in the closed position closing ends on the push rods which face away from the push-rod lock reach behind closing faces mounted on the cabinet body while in the open position they move away from the closing faces. By virtue of the special configuration of the ends of the push rods and lock blocks mounted on the cabinet body, an improved clamping of the door to the cabinet body is achieved in combination with a hasp of the push-rod lock in the closed position. This clamping is initiated in forced sequence by two steps in the rotational movement of the actuating element of the push-rod lock.

On a peripheral portion of a cooking cabinet contained in the main body is fixedly mounted a door-opening frame on which is pivotally mounted a hook-operating lever in a lower-end portion of which is slidably mounted one end of a hook-operating rod the other end of which is brought into contact with the pivotal hook member of the cabinet door, the hook-operating rod being normally biased at its retracted position by a spring means. An upper-end portion of the hook-operating lever is brought into contact with a push pin portion of a push button which is mounted in a control panel of the microwave range in a retractable manner.

In the lower, unlocked, position of the vertical slidable bolt, its latching projection is aligned with the resiliently horizontally biased bolt, to enable free vertical movement of the slidable bolt by an operator.
