    Abstract: A pipe pulling head is provided, including first and pulling portions and a screwing portion. The engaging portion has a front end, a rear end, and an outer surface and configured for engaging and holds a first external pipe from inside of the first external pipe. The screwing portion has a front end, a rear end, and an outer surface and disposed at the front end of the engaging portion and extends coaxially and configured to be engaged and pulled by a tool such as wrench or winch. The pulling portion is provided in a central hole provided through the engaging portion and the screwing portion. The pipe pulling head is configured to be installed in the first external pipe and pulled through a second external pipe having a diameter larger than the first external pipe by the screwing portion.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a boring and laying device for the trenchless laying of a pipeline, with a boring head for loosening the rock, wherein the boring head has a connection for a pilot bore linkage, with a pump for suctioning and conveying away the drillings loosened by the boring head, with a conveying portion behind the boring head in which at least one suction element for receiving and conveying away the loosened rock is provided, and with a connecting portion which has a connection for the pipeline, and to a boring and laying method for the trenchless laying of a pipeline, in which a pilot bore is produced from a starting point to a destination point along a predetermined boring line, wherein the pilot bore is obtained by advancing a pilot boring head with a pilot bore linkage, and in which, after reaching the destination point, a boring and laying head is connected to one end of the pilot bore linkage, which head is connected to the pipeline and via which the borehole is expanded, and simultaneously the pipeline is laid by pulling the pilot bore linkage out of the borehole on one side and/or by pushing the pipeline into the borehole, wherein drillings loosened by the boring head are hydraulically received behind the boring head of the boring and laying device and conveyed away out of the borehole by means of a pump.

    Abstract: A pull back system to install or replace underground utilities that is used with a hammer used in horizontal directional drilling operations. The system comprises a drill bit attached to the hammer. The drill bit comprises a cutting face comprising a first and second passage. The system further comprises a pull back adapter comprising an attachment member, a first member, and a second member. The attachment member may be secured to the cutting face of the drill bit by inserting the first member of the pull back adapter through the first passage of the cutting face and inserting the second member of the pull back adapter through the second passage of the cutting face. The first member secures to the second member within an internal cavity of the drill bit to hold the attachment member for movement with the drill bit. A new pipe may be secured to a shackle on the pull back adapter. The drilling machine will then pull the hammer rearwardly through the borehole which in turn pulls the new pipe into the borehole.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to cable trailer that can carry a cable drum having a weight up to 10 ton. The cable trailer is designed to carry and unwind cable from the cable drum and direct and lay the cable in or along a trench. The cable trailer has a trailer chassis with an internal aperture enclosed by a tail gate. The tail gate can open or be removed to provide access to the space of the internal aperture for the cable drum. The cable trailer has two mounting arms to mount the cable drum. The cable trailer has a bridge with a cable director to facilitate removing cable from the cable drum and at least one cable support arm extendable from a side of the chassis for directing and laying of the cable.
