    Abstract: Internet gateway provisioning and evaluation of embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) privileges is provided. The Internet gateway receives, from a device, a request to provision an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) of the device. The Internet gateway, in response to receiving the request to provision the eSIM of the device, causes the eSIM of the device to be provisioned with a profile. Provisioning the eSIM gives the device an ability to authenticate with a base station for communicating, via the base station, over a cellular communication protocol. The Internet gateway, after causing the eSIM to be provisioned, determines whether at least one criterion is met. The at least one criterion is for retaining or denying the ability of the device to authenticate with the base station. The Internet gateway, sends data, to a server, indicating that the at least one criterion is met.

    Abstract: A method for attaching user equipment, UE, with a network slice supported by one or more network entities is described herein. A user parameter and subscriber-related information identifying the UE are sent from the UE to at least one of the one or more network entities. A network parameter is sent to the UE. A temporary network slice identifier is generated at (i) the UE and at (ii) at least one of the one or more network entities for use in attaching the UE to the network slice. The temporary network slice identifier is generated based on (a) the user parameter, (b) the network parameter, and (c) subscriber-related information. The temporary network slice identifier generated at the UE may be identical to the temporary network slice identifier generated at the at least one network entity.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed to providing an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) solution in a wireless telecommunication network. An example method for provisioning a wireless device with an eSIM profile for operation on a network includes a primary DP+ server receiving a first information corresponding to a mobile device. The primary DP+ server, which is communicatively coupled to a plurality of secondary DP+ servers, is accessed via network information embedded in a single quick response (QR) code that was retrieved by scanning the single QR code. The method further includes determining whether an appropriate eSIM profile is available on the primary DP+ server or one of the secondary DP+ servers. In the former case, the identified eSIM is transmitted to the mobile device, whereas in the latter case, the identified eSIM profile is received from the respective secondary DP+ server and then transmitted to the mobile device.
