摘要: A connector includes a first member defining a first opening; a second member defining a second opening; and a third member defining a third opening, the first opening, the second opening, and the third opening being centrally connected to define a cavity within the connector. A method for draining a sprinkler assembly includes removing a plug from a third opening of a connector of the sprinkler assembly, a sprinkler body of the sprinkler assembly connected to a first opening of the connector, a flexible conduit of the sprinkler assembly connected to a second opening of the connector; and draining a fluid from the connector and the flexible conduit through the third opening.

摘要: A fire detection system and method for fire detection are provided. The fire detection system includes at least one light emitting device for emitting light in a two-dimensional arrangement having multiple optical paths. The fire detection system further includes at least one light detection device for outputting respective light detection signals responsive to detecting the emitted light in each of the multiple optical paths of the two-dimensional arrangement. The fire detection system also includes a controller for identifying an abnormal condition relating to an early fire condition and initiating a set of fire sprinklers responsive to the respective light detection signals.

摘要: A supervision and control method for preventing poor air quality and fire uses an indicator unit mounted to the ceiling or on a wall and provided with an air quality sensor, and one or more control and supervision units as additional devices or as integrated or programmatic characteristics connected to home appliances or electrical devices. The air quality information measured by the air quality sensor is sent from the indicator unit to the control and supervision unit, which monitors, ventilates, and controls the operation and/or energy supply of home appliances or electrical devices on the basis of air quality information. The effect of control on air quality is monitored by the air quality sensor and an alarm is issued and/or the supply of electricity to predetermined home appliances and/or electrical devices is cut off if, regardless of control, a preset alarm limit is exceeded, when the presence of a user is not detected.

摘要: Protective barriers are commonly installed beneath ceilings when construction work is performed either on these ceilings or on the roofs located above them. These protective barriers can be comprised entirely of one material or of different materials connected by seams. Some or all of these materials can be designed to fail when subjected to temperatures above a certain temperature range causing melting or some other destructive process to occur to these materials. These failures can create access points from the ceiling through the protective barrier to areas below being protected by the barrier, which can allow water from a fire suppression system, typically located near the ceiling, to reach a fire located below the protective barrier.

摘要: A dry sprinkler has a casing tube having an inlet orifice and an outlet orifice. When the sprinkler is in a non-actuated state, an inlet seal assembly operatively seals the inlet orifice and an outlet seat assembly operatively seals the outlet orifice. A translating member extends through the casing tube between an inlet and an outlet. The translating member axially translates from a first position, in which the translating member retains the inlet seal assembly in a sealed state, to a second position, in which the translating member releases the inlet seal assembly, toward the outlet when the outlet seat assembly is released. The sprinkler has a nominal K-factor greater than 17 gpm/(psi)1/2. In addition, a difference between a cross-sectional area of the casing tube and a cross-sectional area bounded by an outer perimeter of the translating member is more than 30% of the cross-sectional area of the casing tube.

摘要: A fire sprinkler head (12) has a valve (42) with an X-brace latch (54), and includes a flexible conduit (14). A sprinkler nozzle (16) is secured to a first end of the flexible conduit (14). The sprinkler nozzle (16) includes a first fitting (28), a sprinkler orifice (20) and fusible element (22). A second fitting (40) is secured to the second end of the flexible conduit (14) and includes the valve (42). The valve (42) has a valve element (44) which is moveable from a latched position to an unlatched position. A flexible link (56) extends from the sprinkler nozzle (16) to the X-brace valve latch (54). Breaking of the fusible element (22) releases the flexible link (56) to move from the latched position to the unlatched position, releasing the valve (42) for flow there-through.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for producing a through hole in a floor system for pipe penetration. The method includes providing a deck system with ridge portions and valley portions; creating a hollow on the deck system; providing a ring with at least one securing ear formed on a perimeter thereof; mounting the ring onto the deck system by jointing the at least one securing ear of the ring and the at least one of the ridge portions such that the ring is fixedly received in the hollow of the deck system; and fixedly receiving a pipe casing in the ring mounted on the deck system, wherein the pipe casing defines a path for the pipe penetration. The method further includes forming a concrete layer on the deck system to obtain a composite slab.
