摘要: The present invention provides a battery box having a heat directing function, a heat directing structure, and a method. The battery box comprises: a box body, the inner space of the box body being divided, by a heat partition plate, into a battery compartment in an upper portion and a heat concentration and distribution area in a lower portion; and at least one cell, the cell comprising an upper end face and a housing, the upper end face being provided with cell pressure relief valve, the cell being provided in the battery compartment, and the upper end face being provided to face the heat partition plate. The heat partition plate is provided with a heat directing area. An outlet of the cell pressure relief valve corresponds to the heat directing area. A heat flow discharged by the cell pressure relief valve enters the heat concentration and distribution area through the heat directing area. When thermal runaway occurs in the cell, the heat flow discharged by the pressure relief valve flows from the pressure relief valve to the heat directing area, then to the heat concentration and distribution area, and then to the outside of the box, and the bulk density of the heat flow is reduced step by step, thereby achieving the purpose of heat directing.

An energy storage unit contains at least one phase change material and is configured to manage thermal energy. A cooling system is configured to exchange heat and has a fluid system extending through the drive unit, the battery system, the power conversion system, the energy storage unit, and the cooling system. The fluid system configured to collect heat from the drive unit, the battery system and the power conversion system; selectively expel the heat through the cooling system; selectively store the heat in the energy storage unit in the at least one phase change material; and selectively supply heat from the energy storage unit to the battery system.

Also a system for carrying out the method.

摘要: A battery temperature control apparatus includes: a high voltage battery installed in a vehicle; a low voltage battery installed in the vehicle; a first temperature control system configured to adjust a temperature of the low voltage battery using air supplied from outside the vehicle; and a second temperature control system that is different from the first temperature control system and configured to adjust a temperature of the high voltage battery using a heat medium circulating within the vehicle. The second temperature control system includes: a first heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between the high voltage battery and the heat medium; and a second heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between the low voltage battery and the heat medium. The temperature of the low voltage battery is adjustable using the heat medium supplied to the second heat exchanger.

摘要: A heat management system includes a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a heat pump, an electric assembly waterway, a radiator waterway, a battery waterway, and a heat exchange waterway. The heat pump module includes a first heat exchange pipeline and a second heat exchange pipeline. A first heat exchange passage and a second heat exchange passage of the first heat exchanger are respectively disposed on the second heat exchange pipeline and the heat exchange waterway. A third heat exchange passage of the second heat exchanger is disposed on the first heat exchange pipeline, and a fourth heat exchange passage of the second heat exchanger is in communication with the radiator waterway. The radiator waterway and the electric assembly waterway may be in communication in series.

In one example, a temperature set point of a cooling system is reduced before a vehicle reaches a location along a travel route where load on the electric energy storage device is expected to be greater than a threshold load. By lowering the temperature set point, it may be possible to maintain a temperature of the electric energy storage device below a threshold temperature.

摘要: A heat conducting element for transferring heat away from a heat producing device includes a heat pipe or vapor chamber with a hollow structure that has at least one opening that reaches from outside the hollow structure into the interior of the hollow structure. The opening is sealed by a meltable material, so the interior of the hollow structure is fluid-tight, wherein inside the interior a working fluid in form of a saturated liquid and its vapor is provided for receiving, transferring and dissipating heat. The heat conducting has a predetermined operating temperature range with a minimum operating temperature and a maximum operating temperature. The meltable material has a predetermined melting temperature that exceeds the maximum operating temperature by a predetermined temperature difference, such that the meltable material melts if the hollow structure is exposed to a temperature that reaches the melting temperature to unseal the at least one opening.
