摘要: A gas-liquid heat exchanger such as a charge air cooler has a core comprising a stack of flat tubes defining liquid coolant flow passages, and a plurality of open-ended gas flow passages between the flat tubes. An endmost gas flow passage is defined between an end plate of the core and an adjacent flat tube, such that the endmost gas flow passage is in contact with only said adjacent one of said flat tubes. A blocking element extends along either the front face or the rear face of the core and at least partly blocking the endmost gas flow passage. Each flat tube may comprise a pair of core plates, at least one including a flap projecting into a gas flow passage and covering a gas bypass channel between the edge of the turbulence-enhancing insert and the sides of a coolant manifold.

摘要: A processor can be damaged by a heat sink. If the heat sink is improperly installed, the heat sink may damage the processor and/or the motherboard. Sequential tightening of mechanical fasteners is thus recommended, but the sequential tightening is challenging to implement. Sequential tightening of fasteners helps reduce damage to a processor. When a heat sink is fastened over the processor to a motherboard, mechanical fasteners are tightened in a sequence to reduce damage to the processor. To ensure sequential tightening of the mechanical fasteners, the heat sink is first secured with only two of the mechanical fasteners preinstalled in two of four holes in the heat sink and sequentially tightened into a bolster plate on a bottom side of the motherboard. A cover is then installed over the heat sink, and the cover has two mechanical fasteners that align with a remaining two of the four holes in the heat sink. A remaining two of the mechanical fasteners may then be sequentially tightened into the bolster plate.

摘要: A securing mechanism is provided for facilitating attaching a heat dissipation element. The securing mechanism includes a first fixing part, a second fixing part, a first arm and a second arm. The first arm and the second arm are connected with the first fixing part and the second fixing part. A first bent structure is protruded from the first arm and toward the second arm. A second bent structure is protruded from the second arm and toward the first arm. The securing mechanism is fixed on the heat dissipation element through the first fixing part and the second fixing part. The heat dissipation element is pressed by the first bent structure and the second bent structure. Consequently, the heat dissipation element is attached on the heat source.
