摘要： A ground fault circuit interruption device including a standard molding case circuit breaker and a molded case ground fault detector module mounted in side-by-side relationship. The ground fault detector module includes a push button test switch which is open in the uppermost and in the lowermost positions. Flexible conductors extend through openings provided in the wall of the ground fault detector module and are connected to the line terminals of the circuit breaker. A reset push button is positively latched in the reset position.

摘要： A system for the emergency deenergization of a multibranch power circuit includes a ground fault circuit interrupter having capability to trip under both ground fault and grounded neutral conditions. A plurality of receptacles are provided on the circuit to receive connecting plugs of electrical devices to be powered. A removable plug adapted for insertion into any of the receptacles includes the series combination of a normally open pushbutton switch and resistor connected between plug pins which are in contact with the neutral and ground conductors of the circuit so that actuation of the switch when the plug is inserted in a receptacle establishes a low-impedance path from neutral to ground which is detected by the ground fault circuit interrupter. This causes the interrupter to trip and deenergize the circuit.

A support plate mounts an electronics/magnetics module and operating mechanism sub-assembly including a pivotal, movable contact carrying arm, a latch, a reset button and a trip solenoid. The reset button positions the latch to detain the arm with the contacts in circuit completing relation. On a ground fault, the module effectuates energization of the solenoid to unlatch the arm which moves to separate the contacts.

摘要： An electronic module for use in ground fault circuit interrupting devices comprises an improved shell design structurally adapted for ease of assembly therein of the electronics and magnetics. The electronics, carried on a printed circuit board, is positionally mounted and retained in one shell compartment by integrally formed latching means. The magnetics are positionally mounted in other shell compartments and locked in place by the insertion therethrough of single-turn transformer winding elements. 摘要： A two pole ground fault protector is constructed of a detectorcontrol module sandwiched between a pair of circuit breaker modules having their manual operating handles tied together. The combined width of the pair of circuit breakers equals the width of the detector module. The latter is provided with both line terminals for the protector and these terminals are spaced by the width of the detector module which is the same as the spacing between panelboard line terminal stabs. Load terminals of the circuit breaker modules constitute the load terminals for the protector. A tie bar connecting the automatic tripping mechanisms of the circuit breaker modules together and extending through the detector module is actuated by an electromagnet in the detector module to simultaneously open both circuit breaker modules upon the occurrence of a ground fault.
