    摘要: An illuminable electronic connector for facilitating connection with an electronic device has an illumination circuit with at least one illumination source, and an on-board power source for supplying power to the illumination source in at least some modes of operation. The connector may be configured to adjust brightness of the illumination source based on ambient light conditions using an on-board light sensor. A touch sensing input may also be provided to operate the illumination source. The connector may be further operable to enter a sleep mode when it enters a shipping phase of a supply chain and then to automatically activate the illumination source when it is unpackaged at the end of the shipping phase. An electronic device including an electronic visual interface, such as a mobile phone, may be also operated in a similar manner based on the phase of the device within a supply chain.

Each smart sensor device is coupled to a respective streetlight fixture and captures data from one or more sensors. The data from a single smart sensor device or a plurality of smart sensor devices is aggregated to generate a current data signature of the one or more smart sensor devices. The current data signature is compared to a plurality of known signatures to determine if an incident associated with a streetlight fixture has occurred. Such incidents can include a failed light source, a failing light source, a weather incident, a geologic incident, etc. Depending on the type of incident an instruction is sent to the one or more smart sensor devices to perform one or more responsive actions.

    摘要: A network bridge for a lighting system is disclosed. For one example, a lighting system includes an inter-integrated circuit (I2C) cable, a light emitting diode (LED) driver, and wireless module coupled to the LED driver by way of the I2C cable. The LED driver is configured to control one or more LED light sources. The wireless module includes an antenna configured to receive a message according to any number of a plurality of wireless communication protocols. The wireless module is configured to process the message into an I2C data frame and to deliver the I2C data frame to the LED driver via the I2C cable, and the LED driver is configured to control a lighting application or one or more LED light sources based on an I2C data frame. The message can be a wireless communication protocol message such as a ZigBee message, Bluetooth message or WiFi message. The wireless module includes bridge circuitry configured to process the Zigbee message, Bluetooth message or WiFi message into an I2C data frame and to deliver the I2C data frame to the LED driver via the I2C cable using a serial data communication protocol.
