In this design a section of said material overlies an opening in a wall of said reservoir and contacts said second surface region and said second roller is disposed in a housing adapted to seal against said wall of said reservoir around said opening with said second roller pressing said section of material into contact with said second surface region and said material being engaged by said housing and said wall upstream and downstream of said opening with a force permitting the transport of said material between said housing and said wall on driving of said first roller. A web of material having cut-outs and a special design of fluted roller are also claimed.

The apparatus holds and positions at least first and second rolls of paper with respect to each other, dispensing paper from the first and second rolls simultaneously when the first roll reduces to a predetermined diameter of paper, positioning the depleted first roll for replacement without the necessity of removing the second roll; and dispensing from the second and replacement rolls simultaneously when the second roll reduces to a predetermined diameter of paper. The apparatus also has a proximity sensor, which senses when a hand is placed near the dispenser, and thereupon dispenses a set amount of towel. The dispenser dissipates static charges to a local ground such as a high impedance wall surface on which the dispenser is mounted.

The permanent tractor is located so as to communicate with the paper feed path, and includes an input gear connected to the output shaft of the driving source. The selective transmission of a drive force from the driving source to either the input gear of the permanent tractor or the output gear is effected by a drive force selecting mechanism operated by an operating member in the printer.

A tractor body is movable on a shaft, and a movable housing supporting tractor pulleys and a tractor belt is resiliently movable with respect to the tractor body. A locking member, in a first position, allows the tractor body to be adjusted for paper size while holding a movable member. In a second position, the locking member holds the tractor body in place, and frees the movable member to move relative to the tractor body, so that the movable member, supporting the tractor pulleys and belt, may resiliently move to compensate for changes in paper width during printing.

    摘要: Conveyance apparatus for a continuous form having sprocket holes on both sides thereof provided in a high-speed printing system, comprised of a printing machine and an after-treatment machine, including: a constant-speed conveyance roller for feeding the continuous form to the printer; a pair of ejection rollers located downstream of the constant-speed conveyance roller for conveying and ejecting the continuous form, under tension, by rotating a little faster than the constant-speed conveyance roller; a pair of drawing rollers provided at the entrance to the after-treatment machine for pulling the continuous form therein injected by the printing machine; an end sensor for outputting an end signal when a disengagement between the last sprocket hole and the constant-speed conveyance roller is detected; and a controller. The controller in the first aspect changes the peripheral speed of the ejection rollers to lower than that of the constant-speed conveyance roller when the end signal is received from the end sensor. The controller in the second aspect stops supplying the power to a driver of the ejection rollers, a predetermined time after the end signal is received from the end sensor. The controller in the third aspect changes the peripheral speed of the drawing rollers to faster than that of the ejection rollers to provide tension to the continuous form when the end signal is received from the end sensor. As a result, the continuous form is treated smoothly in the after-treatment machine even at the end thereof.

    摘要: A web feed device, particularly a tractor for feeding perforated paper, is provided with the capability of automatically cutting a margin along the edge of the paper. Where this margin is defined by side perforations, the apparatus is operative to burst the perforations automatically. The tractor has a lid which is spring biased in a closed position spaced from a surface of the frame of the tractor over which the paper is driven, as by a belt having pins which are received in feed perforations along the margin between the side perforations and the edge where the belt is entrained around a sprocket which drives the belt. The mechanism has a lower cutting disk, driven with the sprocket and presenting a cutting edge along an outside surface. An upper disk is reciprocally movable in a housing against the bias of a spring, which maintains the upper disk in retracted (non-cutting) position, to cutting position where a cutting edge between an inside surface of the upper disk overlaps the outside surface of the lower disk to form a cutting scissor for cutting the margin or bursting the side perforations. The cutting action is selectively enabled by manually advancing the upper disk, thereby selectively providing a cutting mode of operation and enabling the upper disk to release from the lower disk, when in its cutting mode position, automatically--as when a paper jams occurs and the lid is forced away its closed position when the housing is mounted on the lid.
