摘要： An assembly of a master brake cylinder and an associated power cylinder of larger diameter, disposed in front of the dashboard of an automotive vehicle with an extension traversing that dashboard, is held together by a flexible retainer such as a strap or a wire embracing the master cylinder and at least part of the outer periphery of the power cylinder under tension. The extremities of the retainer may be anchored directly to the dashboard and its center part is braced against the front end of the master cylinder by an adjustable tensioning device.

The ring and the housing are provided with aligned bores for the introduction of lubricant; an annular cage between the two races, having a multiplicity of peripherally spaced pockets engaged by respective bearing rollers, is provided with apertures between these pockets facilitating the passage of the lubricant to the inner race.

摘要： A boring spindle unit with automatic tool liftoff, especially for the finish boring of a workpiece with an oxide-ceramic boring tool carried by the spindle shaft. The spindle shaft is journaled in at least two main bearings and at least a further bearing is disposed proximal to the main bearing at the tool end of the shaft. During the spindle retraction movement, the additional bearing takes up the journaling of the shaft and has an axis which is offset by a distance from the axis of the main bearings and in a direction opposite that from which the tool projects from the shaft so that the tool does not groove the workpiece during the retraction operation. While the main bearings are effected, the auxiliary bearing receives the shaft with radial play and, while the auxiliary bearing is effective, at least the main bearing proximal to the tool end receives the shaft with radial play.

摘要： An apparatus for false twisting a thread has three spindles each carrying friction elements and disposed, in plan view, at the corners of an equilateral triangle. Both ends of each of the spindles are mounted in bearings on a frame. A removable spacer is provided at each end of the frame and a resilient means urges each spindle against the spacer. The apparatus has a simple construction which can be easily disassembled to replace a spindle, friction element or bearing.

摘要： An annular wheel of plastic is rotatably mounted on a central bearing. The wheel has a generally H-shaped cross-section, with radially outward and radially inward arms joined by a radial crossbar. An array of stiffening ribs at various circumferential locations around the crossbar of the H-shaped cross-section stiffen the wheel. To prevent the peripheral travel surface of the outward arm of the wheel from developing undulations during cooling following initial molding of the plastic wheel, the ribs have recesses in their opposite, axially outwardly directed sides. Dimensional relationships between the axial width and circumferential thickness of the rib, and the peripheral surface of the wheel and the thickness of the crossbar of the wheel are disclosed.
