摘要： A method for securing metallic first and second parts together includes positioning filler metal along an interface between the first and second parts. The first and second parts are inserted into a fixture such that at least one of the first and second parts engages the fixture. The fixture is heated with at least one electrical heating element to heat the filler metal by thermal conduction above a melting point of the filler metal and form metallurgical bonds between the filler metal and the first and second parts. The melted filler metal is cooled to join the first and second parts together.

摘要： A rotary electric machine includes a stator having a circumferentially spaced series of axially extending teeth defining winding slots therebetween. Stator windings are at least partially disposed in each winding slot and electrically connected to form a plurality of phases. One or more slots contain the same magnitude of current at substantially all times for each phase. Structure defines a plurality of elongated coolant passageways disposed in each winding slot. A subset of the coolant passageways contained in the slots for a single phase is an even number. Fluid flows in one direction for half of the subset of coolant passageways and in the opposite direction for the other half of the subset of coolant passageways. At least two of the coolant passageways in the machine are fluidly connected in parallel. At least one of the coolant passageways is located circumferentially between two windings in the same slot.

A second actuating mechanism is secured to the second component and has a second motor, a second nut, and a second shaft secured to the second motor and the second nut such that the second nut is rotatable with the second motor. A screw is threadably engaged with the first nut and the second nut such that rotation of at least one of the first motor and the second motor causes movement between the first and second nuts to move the second component relative to the first component.

The device also includes a programmable interface configured to receive the sensor signal from each of the at least one sensor and to translate the first data format associated with each of the at least one sensor into a second data format associated with a respective type of sensor corresponding to the respective at least one sensor and to provide at least one output signal in the second data format. Each of the at least one output signal can correspond to at least one of the operational characteristics.
