Abstract: Methods for in situ seasoning of process chamber components, such as electrodes are described. In an embodiment, the method includes depositing a silicon oxide film over the process chamber component and converting the silicon oxide film to a silicon-carbon-containing film. The silicon-carbon-containing film forms a protective film over the process chamber components and is resistant to plasma processing and/or dry etch cleaning. The coatings has high density, good emissivity control, and reduces risk of device property drift.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring a temperature of a substrate located in a semiconductor processing environment is disclosed. The substrate has a top surface and an edge surface, and is positioned in a prescribed location within the semiconductor processing environment. An infrared camera oriented to view one side of the edge surface of the substrate is triggered to obtain an infrared image of the one side of the edge surface of the substrate. The infrared image is processed to obtain a temperature profile of the substrate.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe using compressed source material to perform an atomic experiment or an atomic application within a vacuum chamber (e.g., an atom cooling and trapping apparatus). Source material is often refined and sold with dendritic or crystalline surfaces that result in a very large surface area. This surface area increases the likelihood that a large amount contaminants will form on the surface, which is especially true for reactive source materials. To mitigate the risk of contamination, in the embodiments herein the source material is compressed onto a substrate. This changes the material from having a dendritic or crystalline surface to a flat surface, which has a much smaller surface area and thus is less susceptible to contaminants which can, for example, improve the lifetime usage of the source material.

Abstract: A data storage device includes a memory device and a controller coupled to the memory device. The controller is configured to operate under at least a first device protocol and a second device protocol, where the first and second device protocols have different endurance and protection requirements. When data is programmed to the memory device using the first device protocol, but is read from the memory device using the second device protocol, the differing endurance and protection requirements may cause issues in reading the data. In order to alleviate the issues, during idle time of the second device protocol, the controller may program the data using the endurance and protection requirements of the second device protocol to a different portion of the memory device so that the data may be read using either or both device protocols with the appropriate recovery information.

Abstract: A wireless device receives one or more configuration parameters indicating a time window for controlling a radio link failure indication based on a beam failure recovery procedure. A first failure of the beam failure recovery procedure is determined during the time window. The first failure is ignored by not causing a radio link failure in response to the first failure being during the time window. A second failure of the beam failure recovery procedure after the time window is determined. A radio link failure in response to the second failure is indicated.
