Abstract: A processing unit includes a first die and a second die with a microfluidic volume between the first die and the second die. At least one heat transfer structure couples the first die to the second die and is located in the microfluid volume. An electrochemical fluid is positioned in the microfluidic volume to provide electrochemical energy to at least one of the first die and the second die and receive heat from the first die and the second die.

Abstract: Disclosed are a nickel-based superalloy formed by selective laser melting and a preparation method thereof. In the method, CrFeNb alloy powder is used as a grain refiner, and its element composition is within the composition range of a nickel-based superalloy powder to ensure that the prepared nickel-based superalloy has the same element composition with the original alloy; the grain size in the nickel-based superalloy could be refined by the addition of CrFeNb alloy powder, such that the anisotropic columnar grain structure in the alloy is transformed to equiaxed grain structure, thereby improving mechanical properties of the alloy.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for automatically pre-constructing bundles of play-items based on the degree of synergy between the play-items. The degree of synergy between play-items is determined empirically, based on contents of player-constructed game-sets and outcomes of actual games using those game-sets. Automatically pre-constructing bundles involves generating pairwise synergy scores between every possible pair of play-items, and then (for bundles containing more than two items) using those pairwise synergy scores to determine bundle-wise synergy scores. Techniques are provided for identifying candidate bundle(s) of play-items to offer or award to a player. The candidate bundles are determined based on synergies between the play-items in each of the pre-constructed bundles and the play-items in the player's specific game-set.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to devices and methods for delivery of a ferrofluid to a targeted treatment site, such as delivery of a ferroadhesive to a pathological fistula to occlude the fistula. A device includes a catheter having a lumen and a distal opening. A hollow solenoid is coupled to a distal section of the catheter, and a hollow core of the solenoid allows passage of a ferrofluid through the catheter and through the hollow core so that it may exit past the distal end of the hollow solenoid. The solenoid may be selectively actuated to maintain or control the position of the delivered ferrofluid.

Abstract: A quick disconnect system includes a housing and a first connector of a quick disconnect configured to complementarily mate with a second connector of the quick disconnect. A pre-loaded biasing element is configured to provide a biasing force between the first connector and the housing. A method for mating a quick disconnect is also described. The method includes receiving a connecting force to mate a first connector of a quick disconnect in a housing with a second connector of the quick disconnect. When the connecting force is at least equal to or greater than a mating force value, the first connector is mated with the second connector. When the connecting force is greater than a pre-load value of a biasing element in the housing, the mated quick disconnect is moved relative to the housing while maintaining the connection of the mated quick disconnect.
