摘要: One variation for a system for tracking lifting events at a construction site includes: a chassis configured to couple to a crane block of a crane at a construction site. The system further includes a first idler assembly including a first cable idler, a first idler arm, and a first position sensor coupled to the first idler arm. The first idler arm supports the first cable idler on a first side of the chassis and biases the first cable idler inwardly toward a first cable loop coupled to the crane block. Additionally, the system includes a controller configured to, during a lift event: read a first position value from the first position sensor; predict a weight of the load carried by the crane block based on the first position value; and generate a lift event record containing the weight of the load carried by the crane block.

摘要: One variation of a system for a human-computer interface includes: a substrate; a post; and a controller. The substrate includes: a first region including a drive electrode concentric with a normal axis; and a second region arranged opposite the first region. The second region includes a set of sense electrodes arranged: radially about the normal axis; along a first axis orthogonal to the normal axis; and along a second axis orthogonal to the normal axis and the first axis. The post is arranged over the first region. The controller is configured to: read a set of electrical values from the set of sense electrodes; and based on the set of electrical values, interpret a first displacement of the drive electrode relative the set of sense electrodes along the first axis, and interpret a second displacement of the drive electrode relative to the set of sense electrodes along the second axis.

摘要: One variation of a method for aggregating advertisement interaction data includes: receiving a ping from a visual element loaded onto a mobile device, the ping containing: a timestamp; and a value representing a proportion of the visual element visible in a viewport at the mobile device; in response to the value exceeding a threshold value, grouping the ping with a group of pings in a ping feed, the group of pings containing a unique identifier associated with the mobile device; in response to the value falling below the threshold value, concluding an advertisement view session containing the group of pings; calculating a time spent value for visibility of advertisement content in the visual element within the advertisement view session based on timestamps of pings in the group of pings; outputting an advertisement view session packet containing the unique identifier and the time spent value to a database.

摘要: A method for detecting times-of-arrival of signals comprising, at a receiving node: during a time slot, receiving a signal comprising a carrier signal characterized by a carrier frequency and modulated by a template signal defining a code sequence characterized by a transmitter chip period; demodulating the signal according to a local oscillator frequency to generate a received baseband signal, the local oscillator frequency and the carrier frequency defining a desynchronization ratio characterized by a denominator greater than a threshold denominator; sampling the received baseband signal at the transmitter chip period to generate a set of digital samples; generating a reconstructed baseband signal based on the set of digital samples; calculating a cross-correlation function comprising a cross-correlation of the reconstructed baseband signal and the template signal; and calculating, on the fine time grid, a time-of-arrival of the signal based on the cross-correlation function.

摘要: A method includes, at a first node: transmitting a first synchronization signal at a first time according to a first clock of the first node; back-coupling the first synchronization signal to generate a first self-receive signal; calculating a time-of-arrival of the first self-receive signal according to the first clock; and calculating a time-of-arrival of the second synchronization signal according to the first clock. The method also includes, at the second node: transmitting the second synchronization signal at a second time according to a second clock of the second node; back-coupling the second synchronization signal to generate a second self-receive signal; calculating a time-of-arrival of the second self-receive signal according to the second clock; and calculating a time-of-arrival of the first synchronization signal according to the second clock. The method S100 further includes calculating a time bias and a propagation delay between the pair of nodes based on the time-of-arrivals.

摘要: A method includes, at a first time: receiving, from a first viewer population, a first request for a first playback segment of a video; generating a first rendition segment corresponding to the first playback segment; transmitting the first rendition segment to the first viewer population; aggregating a first set of viewership data for the first playback segment; and generating a first viewership count based the first set of viewership data, the first viewership count corresponding to a viewership data filter. In addition, the method includes, at the second time: receiving a second request from the second viewer population for a second playback segment of the video; generating the second rendition segment corresponding to the first playback segment; modifying frames of the second rendition segment to include the first viewership count; and transmitting the second modified rendition segment to the second viewer population and the first viewership count.
