摘要: A luminescent component comprises a first film comprising a first solid polymer composition and a second film comprising a second solid polymer composition. The first solid polymer composition comprises first luminescent crystals. The second solid polymer composition comprises second luminescent crystals. The first luminescent crystals are of size between 3 nm and 3000 nm, and emit red light in response to excitation by light with a shorter wavelength. The second luminescent crystals are of size between 3 nm and 3000 nm, and emit green light in response to excitation by light with a shorter wavelength. Said luminescent component is particularly suited for the application in LCD-backlight color conversion.

A third aspect of the invention refers to a light emitting device comprising either the solid polymer composition (100) according to the first aspect of the invention or the self-supporting film according to the second aspect of the invention.
