The center cutting insert can cut (sharpen) the end surfaces of two welding electrodes simultaneously.

Method of determining a surface illuminated by incident light. First the intensity (I1(x,y)) of light reflected from the surface is recorded in a first image of the surface. After this, the intensity (I2(x,y)) of light reflected from the surface is recorded in a second image of the surface, taken at a different angle of illumination. Only the diffusely reflected light is recorded. The difference between the recorded intensities of the first and the second images is determined to obtain a representation that emphasizes variations in gradient of the surface. This representation is further processed by signal-adapted integration to a topographic description, that is, a height function of the surface.

The invention relates to shot pellets for hunting wild game, particularly birds on wet marshlands. The pellets are also suitable for clay pigeon shooting on organized skeet ranges. The shot pellets have an inner core comprised of lead or lead alloy, and an outer layer of silver or silver alloy. The shot pellets are not influenced, or only slightly influenced by a strong hydrochloric acid environment, therewith greatly eliminating the risk of lead leaching from the pellets. The shot pellets are produced by coating shot pellet cores of lead or lead alloy electrochemically with at least one layer, wherein the outermost layer is always comprised of silver or a silver alloy.

The tool is of the type that has a basic body and an indexable cutting insert that can be connected to the basic body via an interface including a primary connecting surface in the basic body and a secondary connecting surface in the cutting insert. Among two cooperating support flanks included in the connecting surface of the basic body, one is situated on a level above the other in order to form a lateral support for the cutting insert. In the connecting surface of the cutting insert, contact flanks are included that, together with the clearance surface of the cutting insert, form a V-shapedly converging wedge part that can be applied in a seat delimited by the support flanks, the contact flank being urged against the low-positioned support flank of the basic body, while an upper part of the clearance surface of the cutting insert is urged against the high-positioned support flank. By means of the high-positioned support flank, large cutting forces can be carried in a dominant line of action, the interface in other respects efficiently counteracting such tendencies to dislodging/turning of the cutting insert that are caused by more moderate forces in other lines of action. In addition to the proper tool, a cutting insert and a basic body for the tool, per se, are also disclosed.

A method of chilling, cooling or likewise refrigerating a product with the aid of the cold content of a condensed gas, wherein the product, preferably in a gas or liquid state, is caused to pass at least one product-cooling heat-exchanger. According to the invention, the condensed gas is vaporized in at least one evaporation heat-exchanger and the vaporized gas is delivered to the product-cooling heat-exchanger for cooling the product therein. The gas heated by the product in the product-cooling heat-exchanger is then returned to the evaporation heat-exchanger for vaporization of the condensed gas therein. The invention also relates to an arrangement for use in carrying out the method.

An annular body (14) expanding when energy is supplied to it, is positioned in an annular space (13) formed by the corrugation ribs at the end of one tube (A) and an inner boundary which can be formed by an inner wall (11) of fusible plastic material, integral with the corrugated wall of said one tube, or by a sleeve inserted into the adjacent ends of the tubes, also of fusible material. The tube ends are put together to close said space by the end of the other tube (13), and a radial and axial support (19) for the corrugation ribs is arranged on the outside of the tubes. Then, the annular body is expanded by heating to fuse said body to the walls of the tubes and the sleeve, respectively.
