Abstract:
Methods of using subcutaneously implantable sensor devices and associated systems having a communication module that is controlled based upon the detection of a predetermined chemical agent.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the invention may include systems, methods, and apparatus for reconfigurable personalized vehicle displays. According to an example embodiment of the invention, a method is provided for executing computer-executable instructions by one or more processors for displaying personalized information on a vehicle. The method can include detecting an identity of at least one of the one or more processors, display information based at least in part on the detected occupant identity; configuring the display information for use by one or more display devices associated with the vehicle; and communicating the configured display information to the one or more display devices.
Abstract:
Navigation systems that enhance driver awareness are provided. Information associated with a location of a vehicle may be determined. Based at least in part upon the determined location, awareness information associated with the vehicle may be collected. The awareness information may include at least one of crime information, accident information, legal information, or future traffic information. Based at least in part upon the collected awareness information, output information may be generated for presentation, and the generated output information may be output.
Abstract:
System and methods for determining a number of vehicle occupants based at least in part on sensor data gathered by one or more in-vehicle sensors are disclosed. The number of vehicle occupants may be determined, at least in part, by an in-vehicle system associated with the vehicle. Vehicle occupancy information indicative of the number of vehicle occupants may be transmitted to facilitate identification of one or more incentives based at least in part on the vehicle occupancy information. The incentive(s) may include a reduction in a fee associated with operation of the vehicle such as a discounted toll amount, an elimination of a fee, an incentive payment, a discount associated with a product or service offering, and so forth. A tolling system ma be provided for receiving the vehicle occupancy information and determining a toll amount based at least in part on the received information.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus are provided for determining the presence or absence of an object within a vehicle based on sensor signals and selectively providing notification to a user of the same.

Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the invention may include systems, methods, and apparatus for obtaining information from objects attached to a vehicle. According to an example embodiment of the invention, a method is provided for receiving one or more camera images from a front-facing camera attached to a vehicle; locating, from the one or more camera images, one or more region of interest (ROI) images; processing the one or more ROI images; outputting the one or more processed ROI images to a display within the vehicle; receiving radio frequency identification (RFID) information from a RFID reader attached to a front portion of the vehicle; and outputting one or more commands based at least in part on one or more of the RFID information or the processing of the one or more ROI images.
