摘要: A method for performing a link aggregation on a link aggregation group, comprising a plurality of transport links, for sessions received at a first network node which is connected to a second network node via the link aggregation group. The method, which is to be executed in the first network node, enables link aggregation optimization for the sessions destined for the second network node by selectively choosing transport link for the sessions on the basis of the load of the transport links. The suggested link aggregation results in a packet load balancing and improved bandwidth utilization. An arrangement suitable for executing the suggested method is also provided.

摘要: A system, method, and node for a Routing Controller (RC) to obtain from a Path Computation Element (PCE), network resource path metrics across a plurality of domains in a communication network in which each domain includes a plurality of Border Nodes (BNs). The RC sends to the PCE, a first message requesting a first path computation between each pair of BNs. The first message contains a maximum metric-value that a path computation must not exceed for a Path Computation Client (PCC) to consider the path computation acceptable. The RC then sends a second message requesting the PCE to compute a subsequent path computation for each BN pair for which the first path computation did not exceed the maximum metric-value. The second message contains a minimum metric-value that a path metric must exceed for the PCC to consider the path metric acceptable. The RC then receives the computed subsequent path computation.

摘要: In a multi-domain network each domain, or Autonomous System (AS), has a route calculation entity (PCE A) which is responsible for computing paths between domains on behalf of clients. The route calculation entity (PCE A) sends advertisement messages to a route calculation entity (PCE B) in another domain. The advertisement message carries at least one of: inter-domain resource information and aggregated intra-domain information, such as simplified topology information or cumulative traffic engineering (TE) metrics. The inter-domain resource information can be inter-domain route or reachability information which is normally discarded by a routing protocol such as the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and can include inter-domain Traffic Engineering (TE) information such as reservable bandwidth.

摘要: Method and arrangement for obtaining unambiguous addressing for data packets communicated between devices (E1B, E3A) in two different local networks (A,B) using potentially overlapping private IP address spaces. A VPN tunnel is initially established between gateways (102,104) in the two local networks and an internal IP address space is defined in each network for devices in the opposite network, not overlapping with an internal IP address space used for its own devices. When the gateway (102) of one network receives a data packet from a device (E1B) in the opposite network, the packet's header is modified by changing the destination and source addresses, which belong to address spaces valid in the opposite network, into addresses belonging to address spaces valid in the present network.

摘要: File sharing between mobile devices is enabled using a hierarchical Distributed Hash Table (DHT) based message routing system. According to one embodiment, mobile device electronic content is shared via an overlay network of computer nodes arranged according to a hierarchical DHT by a mobile device generating a message. The message includes a key configured to identify mobile device electronic content and to enable routing of the message based on the hierarchical DHT through the overlay network upon reception of the message at any of the computer nodes. The message is transmitted to a packet-switched radio access network, the packet-switched radio access network configured to send the message to one or more of the computer nodes. The message is eventually routed to the computer node responsible for the key. The responsible computer node processes the message, e.g., by registering electronic content, deregistering electronic content or responding to an electronic content request.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method in a border node of an Autonomous System (AS) and a border node comprising a border route control unit. The border node is configured to route data packets from a source node in an originating Autonomous System to a destination node in a terminating Autonomous System, possibly via intermediate autonomous systems. The method includes determining one inter autonomous system path or multiple inter AS paths constituting a route or multiple routes, respectively, between the originating autonomous system and terminating autonomous system based on at least an energy consumption metrics of transit paths through an own autonomous system and other autonomous systems and a total energy consumption metric for each possible inter autonomous system path. The border node is adapted to store the route or the multiple routes in a border gateway routing table.

摘要: Apparatus for performing load balancing among network servers connected to an internal IPv6 network. The apparatus comprises a first interface coupled to an external IPv4 or IPv6 network for receiving packets sent across the external network and an IP packet creator coupled to said first interface. This IP packet creator is configured, for each received packet at that interface, to select a network server to be allocated to the packet or identify an already allocated network server. The IP packet creator is further configured to create a corresponding IPv6 packet for transmission over said internal network to the selected or identified network server. The apparatus further comprises a second interface coupled to said internal IPv6 network for transmitting created IPv6 packets across the internal network towards respective selected or identified network servers.
