摘要: A transport tray for a coiled fiber including one or more coils of fiber and end portions extending from the coils. The transport tray comprises a base and a receptacle disposed on the base to receive the coils of fiber therein. The receptacle may have a circular shape configured to retain the coils without violating the minimum bend radius of the fiber. A locking mechanism may be provided to secure the coiled fiber in the receptacle. The tray may includes one or more retainers to secure the end portions of the fiber, including fibers having any one of a range of diameters, in one or more desired positions. The tray may also include two or more fiber end retainers interchangeably supported on the base to retain fiber ends having different shapes and sizes. A plurality of registration features may be provided to facilitate transporting and positioning the tray at one or more process stations or tools.

摘要: A hot water heater in which water is heated by passing it through a heat exchanging coil positioned in a tank filled with a heat exchanging liquid, such as water. Flue gases are drawn from a burner by a jet pump positioned in the tank, the gases passing through a second heat exchanging coil. The jet pump is driven by heat exchanging liquid from the tank circulated by an auxiliary pump. The flue gases are mixed with the heat exchanging liquid by the jet pump causing the flue gases to be washed and cooled before they are vented off from the top of the tank.

The system comprises a data repository that stores vehicle data files, a history filter operatively connected to the data repository and configured to filter select vehicle data files retrieved. The system further includes a matching engine operatively connected to the history filter for grouping files retrieved that have a common digit pattern within a manufacturer VIN code and a pricing engine operatively connected to the matching engine for accessing and processing transaction prices for a select group of vehicles to determine the market settlement value an identified vehicle. The market settlement value is used as an index price to assess gains and losses associated with vehicle futures contracts.

摘要: There is provided a method and apparatus for automatically cleaning a portion of an optical fiber. One embodiment of the apparatus comprises a fluid tank assembly that holds cleaning fluid and comprises an aperture sized and arranged to receive the portion of the optical fiber, an ultrasonic generator, a clamping assembly, and a controller. The clamping assembly, in one position, holds the portion of the optical fiber in a position that is axially aligned with the aperture of the fluid tank assembly and disposed through the aperture of the fluid tank assembly. The clamping assembly further comprises a sealing assembly that forms a fluid seal about the portion of the optical fiber and a fluid seal of the aperture of the fluid tank assembly. The controller controls the ultrasonic generator to provide an ultrasonic signal to the fluid within the fluid tank assembly to clean the portion of the optical fiber.

摘要: A temperature sensitive liquid level controlling apparatus employs a pair of carbon resistors, each having a resistance which changes in response to immersion in a low temperature liquid, for determining upper and lower levels of the liquid in a container. The resistances of the resistors are compared with those of reference resistors to provide a signal for controlling a flow of the liquid into the container. A liquid cooling system incorporating this liquid level controlling apparatus displaces the liquid from a second container into the first-mentioned container by supplying a gaseous phase of the liquid into the second container, the signal being used to operate a two-way valve in the liquid passage for venting the second container through the liquid passage and for permitting the flow of the liquid from the second container through the liquid passage.

At least one injector is formed in the downstream end of the body portion and in flow communication with the fuel supply, whereby fuel is provided to the cavity through the fuel injector bars in accordance with a Rich-Quench-Lean (RQL) process. Consistent with such RQL process, fresh air is provided through flow passages of the dome inlet module directly into the combustion chamber to maximize the distance available for effecting good mixing and rapid dilution of the combustion gases to a lean state.
