    摘要: A position sensitive multiwire proportional counter with integral delay line including a support carrying a plurality of anode wires and at least one cathode wire spaced in a predetermined relationship from the anode wires within the active volume of the counter to form an integral delay line. The counter is filled with a gas which ionizes upon interaction with ionizing radiation, the ionization of the gas being enhanced by the positive anode, such that an electrical charge is thereby induced in the cathode wire. Sensing of elapsed time between receipt of the induced charge at opposing ends of the cathode wire is utilized to determine the desired radiation positional data.

    摘要: A compensating circuit for leakage current comprising part of a signal from a semiconductor image sensor is provided in which a diode is positioned in thermal contact with the image sensor and is reverse biased to produce a leakage current proportional to the image sensor leakage current. Amplifying means is utilized to provide a diode leakage current signal proportional to the leakage current flowing through the diode and equal to the leakage current component of the image sensor signal. The diode leakage current signal and the image sensor signal are summed in a summing circuit such that the diode leakage current signal offsets the leakage current component of the image sensor signal. An output signal results in which the image sensor leakage current component is substantially eliminated.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for conducting a search of a predetermined area for radiant energy utilizing a raster type scan and responsive to receipt of radiant energy automatically shifting the operational mode from search to track after which that portion of the predetermined area within which the radiant energy was located is repeatedly unidirectionally swept with each succeeding sweep being in quadrature relationship to the previous sweep. A pulse indicative of received radiant energy is produced during each sweep and if of sufficient magnitude, the leading and trailing edges are utilized to cause sampling of deflection currents at the time of occurrence of said leading and trailing edges. The thus sampled currents are averaged to produce an analog output signal indicative of the angular position of the source of the radiant energy within the predetermined area along the particular axis established by the sampled sweep currents. Also provided is a selection circuit whereby a particular source of radiant energy can be selected to the exclusion of other sources within the predetermined area.

The conductors are electrically connected at adjacent transverse edges so as to define a onequarter wavelength open-ended coaxial cavity which is connected to a transmitter or receiver by a combination electrical signal feed and impedance matching assembly.

    摘要: A compact solid-state oscillator-transmitter which includes a transistor within a small can defining a tuning cavity. The can is electrically connected in the output circuit to present a capacitance which may be varied by manual adjustment of a tuning screw so that the effective output impedance, including parasitic impedance, has the proper phase angle necessary to permit oscillation at the desired frequency. The can is also utilized to shield radiation of radiofrequency conducting circuit components, to secure the components, and to protect the same against adverse environmental influences. A probe is provided to pick up oscillatory signal energy in the cavity and is utilized as an antenna when transmitting the produced signal.
