摘要:
Provided are system and method for performing access screening in a CDMA network. In one embodiment, the method comprises comparing a strength of a reference pilot specified in an origination message (“ORM”) received from the mobile unit to at least one of an upper pilot strength threshold (“UPST”) and a lower pilot strength threshold (“LPST”); responsive to the reference pilot strength failing to exceed the LPST, redirecting the mobile unit; responsive to the reference pilot strength exceeding the LPST but failing to exceed the UPST, determining whether an additional pilot is reported having a strength greater than that of the reference pilot; and responsive to a determination that no additional pilot is reported having a strength greater than that of the reference pilot, redirecting the mobile unit.

The present invention provides a system for compensating understeer and oversteer in a vehicle having a steer by wire system. The system includes a driver interface system, a sensor system, a controller, and a road wheel steering actuation system. The driver interface system receives steering input from the driver. The sensor system senses the steering input and generates a steering control signal that is received by the controller. The controller determines if an understeer or oversteer condition exists and generates an appropriate steering assist signal that is then communicated to the road wheel steering actuation system. In response to the steering assist signal, the road wheel steering actuation system adjusts the road wheel angle to compensate for the understeer or oversteer condition.

A steer-by-wire system of the preferred embodiment of the invention includes a steering sensor, a turning subsystem, a vehicle sensor, and a controller subsystem. The turning subsystem further includes a first turning actuator to adjust a turning angle of a first road wheel, a first turning sensor to sense first turning factors of the first turning actuator, a second turning actuator to adjust a turning angle of a second road wheel, and a second turning sensor to sense second turning factors of the second turning actuator. The controller subsystem is connected to the steering sensor, to the first turning sensor, to the second turning sensor, and to the vehicle sensor. The control subsystem independently controls the first turning actuator and the second turning actuator.

An apparatus and method for a steering system which compensates a drive current for certain variables in a steer-by-wire and electrical power assist steering system. The present invention utilizes a steering wheel angle sensor, a road wheel angle sensor, and a controller for determining a precise time and amount of compensation for the drive current.

A steer-by-wire system for use in a vehicle includes a driver interface system. The driver interface system includes a steering mechanism for use by an operator of the vehicle. The steer-by-wire system may allow the operator to steer the vehicle during failures within the driver interface system. When a failure is detected, the movement of the steering mechanism is controlled and torque applied by the operator to the steering mechanism is measured. The vehicle is maneuvered by the steer-by-wire system as a function of the torque applied.
