摘要: This invention relates to hetero-phase polyolefin compositions comprising: a) 30 to 99.7 wt % of a polypropylene-based TPO comprising at least 50 wt % propylene and at least 10 wt % ethylene, and b) 0.1 to 20 wt % of one or more non-functionalized plasticizer, and c) 0.2 to 50 wt % of one or more filler; based upon the weight of the composition, and having: i) an MFR of 5 dg/min or more, and ii) a flexural modulus of 500 MPa or more, and iii) a notched Charpy impact strength at −30° C. of 1 kJ/m2 or more or a notched Izod impact strength at −18° C. of 50 J/m or more.These compositions are especially useful in applications such as automotive parts that demand both high stiffness and high impact toughness, as well as good processibility during fabrication.

摘要: This invention relates to a method to make an article comprising the steps of combining a semi-amorphous polymer having a heat of fusion of less than 70 J/g with a plasticizer and optionally one or more additives, to produce a polymer concentrate, combining the polymer concentrate with one or more final materials to produce an article precursor; and forming the article at least partially from the article precursor, wherein the polymer concentrate preferably shows no visible phase separation as demonstrated by the polymer concentrate having no visually detectable loss of the plasticizer after a portion of the polymer concentrate is aged on an absorbent surface for 24 hours at 25° C. An article produced by the method is also disclosed.

摘要: Functional polymer compositions and methods of forming such compositions are provided. The functional polymer compositions include at least 50 wt % of one or more polymer components; from 0.1 to 50 wt % of one or more fluids; and from 1 to 50 wt % of one or more active substrates. The combination of one or more fluids and one or more active substrates provides an article from such polymer composition with one or more special functional effects selected from moisturizing, anti-bacterial, disinfecting, anti-viral, anti-mildew, anti-mold, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, moisture/odor absorbing, fragrancing, insect repelling, anti-static and combinations thereof. The one or more fluids and one or more active substrates are released to the surface of polymer based articles. The functional polymer compositions are suitable for a wide range of end use applications including woven and non-woven fabrics.
