The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a thin film transistor panel. At first, a gate line is formed on an insulating substrate. A gate insulating layer and a semiconductor layer which comprises an impurity-doped layer are deposited over the gate line sequentially. The semiconductor layer is patterned. A conductive pattern layer with a source electrode, a channel region and a drain electrode is formed over the patterned semiconductor layer. The impurity-doped layer is exposed at the channel region. Then, the impurity-doped layer at the channel region is insulated.

The present invention mainly relates to a liquid crystal display device comprising a housing and a panel module. The housing comprising a mold frame, a plurality of fixing pieces and a plurality of fixing structures being adapted to fix the fixing pieces to the mold frame, wherein the mold frame is adapted to hold and support the panel module, wherein each of the fixing pieces comprises a panel module fixing rib to hold the panel module, and a lateral fixing portion to be coupled to the mold frame. The present invention avoids using metal frames in the prior art and reduces weight of the liquid crystal display device; furthermore, the housing and mechanical strength are up to a standard of utility in this field.

The present invention relates to a multi-angle reflector for use in a backlight unit. The back light unit comprises a plurality of lamps, a multi-angle reflector and a diffuser. The multi-angle reflector comprises a plate and a plurality of reflecting protrusions. The plate has a top surface toward to the lamps. The reflecting protrusions are respectively disposed on the top surface of the plate. Each reflecting protrusion has a reflecting surface. The reflecting surfaces have a plurality of reflecting angles corresponding to the top surface of the plate so that the light from lamps are adapted to reflect to the diffuser according to the reflecting angles. Therefore, according to the invention, the reflecting angles of the reflecting surfaces on the reflecting protrusions can be adjusted so as to suit to various actual conditions. The lights are uniform and the utility of the lights is improved. Because the reflecting protrusions are small, the reflector can be made into a thin type. For the whole structure, the thickness of the backlight unit is decreased.

A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is disclosed. The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal material between opposing first and second substrates, spacers for maintaining a cell gap and a plurality of first and second color filters. The method includes the steps of: (a) estimating an optimum quantity of the liquid crystal material by measuring the height of the spacers, the thickness difference between the first color filters and the second color filters, and the distance between two adjacent color filters; (b) applying an adhesive onto the periphery of the first substrate or the second substrate; (c) dispensing the liquid crystal material to the first substrate, wherein the quantity of the dispensed liquid crystals is controlled based on the estimated optimum quantity; (d) superposing the second substrate upon the first substrate; and (e) curing the adhesive to obtain the liquid crystal display.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) element with a defect repairing function and a defect repairing method of the same. In an embodiment of the invention, a pixel is associated with a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of data lines. Along with separate spare lines, melting connection can be obtained to form a circuit path and to compensate for broken wires. A single pixel can also have a plurality of subpixels with spare conduction ports and meltable joints so that defective electrodes can be separated. The spare conduction ports can be melted and connected so that other subpixels support and compensate for the defective subpixel to minimize pixel signal loss.

The light curable sealant is used to attach the first substrate to the second substrate. The method includes irradiating steps (a) and (b). In the step (a), the article is irradiated by a light entering the article from the first substrate to reach the light curable sealant. In the step (b), the article is irradiated by a light entering the article from the second substrate to reach the light curable sealant. The present invention further provides curing apparatuses for accomplishing the aforementioned method.

A thin film transistor panel includes a gate line with a gate electrode on a substrate, a gate insulating layer on the gate line, a semiconductor layer on the gate insulating layer, a conductive pattern layer with source and drain electrodes spaced apart on the semiconductor layer, a passivation layer on the semiconductor layer and the conductive pattern layer, and a plurality of pixel electrodes on the passivation layer. The thin film transistor panel is characterized in that the conductive pattern layer is formed from composite metallic layers including Mo/AgnullAl alloy/Mo. Furthermore, the gate line may be formed from a gate metal layer including an AgnullAl alloy layer and a molybdenum layer. The present invention further provides a sputtering target of AgnullAl alloy for forming the AgnullAl alloy layer.
