Abstract:
This invention provides a transcription unit which is isolated from the upstream nucleic acid sequence of the collapsing response mediator protein-1 (CRMP-1) gene, an invasion-suppressor gene. The transcription unit contains a nucleic acid regulatory sequence which demonstrates promoter and/or regulatory activities (such as providing a transcription factor binding site) to enhance the expression of the CRMP-1 and/or a reporter protein. The invention also provides a DNA construct containing this transcription unit which can be transfected into a host cell. Additionally, the invention provides methods to enhance the expression of CRMP-1 and/or the reporter protein. The over-expression of CRMP-1 in a cancer cell can inhibit the metastasis of the cancer cell.
Abstract:
A light emitting device with compensation capability is disclosed herein which includes a plurality of light emitting diodes, when a light emitting diode is out of order, the remaining of the light emitting diodes can still working properly; a status detecting unit; a power controlling unit; a processing unit to provide the control signals to the power controlling unit in order to dynamically provide the power to the light emitting diodes. By utilizing the LED device with light compensation capability, it can provide the stable power compensate.

Abstract:
A driving method of multi-stable display is provided. A first voltage is provided to a scan line of a pixel if a state of the pixel is not changed. If the pixel is set to a bright state, voltages V2 and V4 are provided to the scan line and a data line in a first phase, and voltages V3 and V5 are provided to the scan and the data lines in a second phase. |V2−V4| and |V3−V5| are smaller than a first threshold voltage. If the pixel is set to a dark state, voltages V2 and V5 are provided to the scan and the data lines in the first phase, and voltages V3 and V4 are provided to the scan and the data lines in the second phase. |V2−V5| and |V3−V4| are greater than a second threshold voltage, and the second threshold voltage is greater than the first threshold voltage.
Abstract:
A driving device of a passive matrix (PM) bistable display and a real-time touch input display method thereof are provided. The real-time touch input display method includes following steps. First, a touch event of a touch panel is detected to obtain a touch coordinate. When the touch event occurs, one of a plurality of scan lines of the PM bistable display is selected as a corresponding scan line according to the touch coordinate, and a corresponding pixel on the corresponding scan line is driven according to the touch coordinate.
Abstract:
A conductive polyester sheet having three layers, comprising one substrate layer and two surface layers, laminated together by co-extrusion is provided. All the three layers are made from polyester and/or copolyester, and the surface layers further contain carbon black and thus are useful as conductive layers. The sheet has a surface conductivity of not more than 10.sup.8 ohms and the flow index of the material for the conductive layers during the extrusion step is not lower than 60 g/min (loading, 2160 g; temperature, 275.degree. C.).
