Abstract: In the field of liquid crystal display technology, a liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof. The driving method includes steps of: detecting whether a light leakage has occurred in the liquid crystal display device; and adjusting a turn-off voltage output from a gate driver to a gate of a switch element to reduce an absolute value of a voltage difference between the turn-off voltage and a common voltage when the light leakage has occurred in the liquid crystal display device.
