摘要: Personalized, health and performance programs are generated for individuals based on various biomarkers and performance and lifestyle assessments. In one embodiment, a diagnostic test of blood or other biological specimen(s) is used to determine key biological marker levels. Information and assessments of the user's physical performance, life style and health and wellness goals is also collected and provided to an expert system that matches the biomarker levels and assessments to a knowledgebase of scientific knowledge about biomarker levels and health and fitness outcomes. Personal recommendations and advice on nutrition and exercise is then generated, which may be used to help individuals reach their diet, fitness, and wellness goals and improve their physical and mental performance and well being in measurable ways.

摘要: In a process for manufacturing fiber reinforced composites made or inorganic sinterable material and inorganic fibers the fibers are continuously passed through a bath which works acccording to the fluidized bed principle and which contains a solution of at least one metal alkoxide of the elements of the first to the fourth main groups of the periodic table and the forth and fifth subgroups of the periodic table, which solution already comprises products of hydrolysis and their condensation products, and the fibers moistened with the solution are wound one upon the other to form layers, the moistened and wound fibers are dried, the metal alkoxides on the fibers are completely hydrolyzed and the products of hydrolysis are polycondensated, and the layers of the fibers being adhered by the powder and the polycondensation products of the products of hydrolysis of the metal alkoxides are hot pressed.

摘要: A needle is proposed including a cannula or hollow shaft with a multilumen insert inside. The insert comprises at least two lumen. Both the insert as well as the cannula have bevelled ends. In the insert substantially straight cleaved fibers are present that may be connected at the proximal end to a console. At least one of the distal fiber ends in the insert may protrude more than half the fiber diameter out of the insert. Furthermore, the bevel angle of the insert is different from the bevel angle of the cannula such that combination cannula and insert is such that the fiber ends do not protrude the bevel surface of the cannula.
