Abstract:
A washing machine includes a housing and a washing/drying drum received in the housing. A pivotal mechanism is mounted to each of two flanks of the washing/drying drum. Each pivotal mechanism includes a support having an axle. The axles define a pivotal axis passing through a diameter of the washing/drying drum. Each pivotal mechanism further includes a rotating device rotatable about the pivotal axis defined by the axles. The washing/drying drum is coupled to the rotating devices. The washing/drying drum is pivotable between a horizontal position and a vertical position. One of the pivotal mechanisms includes a positioning mechanism configured to position the washing/drying drum in the horizontal position or the vertical position.
Abstract:
The invention provides a flexible base material and a flexible electronic device. The flexible base material includes a flexible substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. A first organic composite barrier layer is deposited on the first surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the first organic composite barrier layer applies a first stress to the flexible substrate. An anti-curved layer is deposited on the second surface of the flexible substrate, wherein the anti-curved layer applies a second stress to the flexible substrate, and wherein the second stress applied by the anti-curved layer cancels off more than 90% of the first stress.

Abstract:
A method for maintaining disk array access management information specifies a specific area in a random access memory (RAM) of a computer system or a disk array controller for storing management information of a disk array. The management information area is defined as a disk in the disk array and updated synchronously with the management information of a disk in the disk array. When the disk stores data by an array, the management information of the disk array will be saved synchronously into the management information area of the RAM. If all disks are hot plugged or unplugged, the disk array controller retrieves the updated management information from the RAM of the computer system or disk array controller, and saves the management information back into all disks after the installation of disks is completed, so as to prevent the disk array controller from being unable to operate.
Abstract:
An optical disk drive with a protected pick-up unit. The optical disk drive includes a core body, a guide bar, a pick-up unit and an impact-reducing mechanism. The core body has an operating zone. The guide bar is connected to the core body. The pick-up unit is movably supported by the guide bar to access an optical disk in the operating zone. The impact-reducing mechanism is disposed outside the operating zone to sustain impact of the pick-up unit when the pick-up unit moves outside the operating zone and collides with the impact-reducing mechanism.
Abstract:
A disk drive with an ejection apparatus having a locking pin and a latch is provided. The locking pin is movably disposed on the tray while the latch is rotatably disposed on the housing. The latch includes a blocking part and a guiding part. When a tray is received in the disk drive, the blocking part of the latch engages with the locking pin. When the tray is ejected, the tray is pushed toward the inner space of the housing. Subsequently, the locking pin escapes from the blocking part and moves to the guiding part of the latch. The locking pin moves along the guiding part and therefore the tray is ejected.
Abstract:
Trousers with a crotch closure/opening structure includes a trouser body having a front side and a rear side. A zipper is mounted to the front side of the trouser body. The zipper extends downwards from a top end of the front side of the trouser body, extends rearwards through a crotch of the trouser body, and extends upwards to a location of the rear side corresponding to hips of a human body. A female wearer using a toilet can simply open the zipper to the hip position, opening the front side, the crotch, and the rear side of the trouser body and significantly increasing use convenience for the female wearer using the toilet.
Abstract:
A light-emitting diode (LED) element is provided. The LED element includes a substrate, a diode structure layer and several light-guide structures. The light-guide structures are formed on at least one of the substrate and the diode structure layer. Each light-guide structure has an inner sidewall, and several spiral slits formed on the inner side wall.
Abstract:
This application relates to a newly identified animal cell structure, the midbody scar. This structure is a remnant of the midbody that is retained by one daughter cell following cytokinesis and persists through multiple subsequent cell cycles. The midbody scar can be useful as a marker of dividing cells or of a cell's replicative age.
Abstract:
A optical storage carrier player, comprising: at least a light source, a connection arm, a focusing rib and a window. The connection arm can provide a passage for a light from the light source. The focusing rib that is protruding out the connection arm and structured in a ring shape for focusing the light. The window is arranged on an top cover of the player and connected with the connection arm to allow an operator to observe the interior of the player directly through the window.
