    摘要: The present invention relates to a fuel injector having at least two electrical actuators at least partially positioned within a fuel injector body, and a method for installing the fuel injector in an engine. Two pairs of electrical conductors are exposed on an outer surface of the fuel injector body and are arranged in a predetermined pattern relative to one another. Each pair of electrical conductors of the fuel injector is electrically connected to its respective electrical actuator. A wiring harness includes a connector that also has two pairs of electrical conductors. The two pairs of electrical conductors of the wiring harness are connected to the two pairs of electrical conductors of the fuel injector, at least in part, by attaching the connector to the fuel injector.

    摘要: An exhaust valve apparatus for an internal combustion engine exhaust valve having a thermally prestressed bender actuator, which moves through a displacement in response to a command signal from a control unit. An actuator drive responsive to motion of the thermally prestressed bender actuator operates an exhaust valve actuator system, which, in turn, operates the exhaust valve. The thermally prestressed electroactive bender actuator and the exhaust valve actuator system operate the exhaust valve to effect engine compression braking.

    摘要: An engine braking system for a multi-cylinder engine includes a supply of low pressure fluid and an engine fluid sump. A plurality of valve actuators are each configured to be alternatively fluidly coupled to the supply of low pressure fluid and the engine fluid sump. Each valve actuator is operably coupled to at least one exhaust valve for a respective cylinder. The system also includes a braking control valve operably coupled to two of the valve actuators. The braking control valve is movable between a first position at which the two valve actuators are fluidly coupled to the engine fluid sump and blocked from the supply of low pressure fluid and a second position at which the two valve actuators are fluidly coupled to the supply of low pressure fluid and blocked from the engine fluid sump.

A voltage source is coupled to the piezoelectric device to apply a voltage to the device.     摘要: A control valve comprises a valve body that defines a high pressure passage, a low pressure passage and a flow passage. A valve member that is positioned in the valve body and defines an internal passage that opens through an end, and a closing hydraulic surface that is exposed to fluid pressure in the flow passage. The valve member is movable between a first position at which said high pressure passage is open to the flow passage via the internal passage and a second position at which the low pressure passage is open to the flow passage. The closing hydraulic surface is oriented such that pressure applied to the closing hydraulic surface produces a force on the valve member in a direction toward the second position.
