摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for estimating a state of charge (SOC) of a battery. Curves are generated to expresses a relationship between a first parameter and an SOC over a region of interest. A voltage and a current of the battery during a period of time are measured to create a set of voltage and current data, which is then processed to create a set of processed data. The processed data is then combined with the generated curves to generate processed data as a function of SOC. A curve is generated that evaluates each SOC for accuracy and chance likelihood of fit. An SOC that minimizes both the error and chance is selected and output for display to the user on a user interface.

摘要: A design structure for designing, manufacturing, and/or testing a circuit for widening a dynamic range of sensor circuitry for sensing energy, such as light energy. The sensor circuitry includes a sensor and recharge circuitry for sharing additional charge with the sensor as needed during an integration period. Readout circuitry is provided to read out, after the integration period, the sense voltage remaining across the sensor and recharge information indicating whether the recharge circuitry shared charge with the sensor during the integration period. The sense voltage and recharge information read out of the sensor circuitry is used in a function to determine the total amount of energy sensed by the sensor during the integration period.

摘要: A substrate processing apparatus having a frame, a housing, an access system and at least a substrate transport apparatus or a substrate processing device. The housing is connected to the frame. The access system is connected to the frame and forms an access through which substrates are moved in and out of the housing. The substrate transport apparatus or substrate processing device are connected to the frame and are at least partially positioned in the housing. The frame comprises a movable portion. The movable portion is movable relative to the frame so that movement of the movable portion causes separation of the access system and at least one of the substrate transport apparatus or substrate processing device from an installed position. The substrate transport apparatus is selectable from a number of different interchangeable substrate transport apparatus. Each of the different interchangeable substrate transport apparatus has a predetermined reference datum and positioning features for positioning the substrate transport apparatus relative to the frame. The positioning features of each substrate transport apparatus are controllably located relative to its predetermined reference datum to be in a repeatable predetermined location with substantially no variance between the different interchangeable substrate transport apparatus.

摘要: A method and apparatus for digital halftoning provides evenly distributed intensity clusters within a halftone cell. Pixel illumination ordering is determined based on adjacency from a candidate pixel to other pixels already placed in the order of illumination. Separate head and tail intensity arrays are used so that pixel ordering proceeds from both the first and last illuminated pixels toward pixels in the center of the illumination order.

摘要: A method and apparatus for estimating a state of charge of a battery. The method may include generating one or more curves which expresses the a priori relationship between a first parameter and a state of charge (SOC) of a battery over a region of interest, taking a derivative of the generated one or more curves with respect to state of charge to generate a derived parameter with the SOC of the battery over the region of interest, transforming a combination of the generated one or more curves into one or more supplemental curves which express the a priori relationship between a second parameter with one or more of current (I) polarization current (Ip) and open circuit voltage (OCV), the voltage slope with respect to SOC (dOCV/dSOC), and any combination of (I, Ip, OCV and dOCV/dSOC), measuring a voltage and a current of the battery during a period of time to create a set of voltage and current data, processing the set of voltage and current data to create a set of processed data, combining one or more generated curves with the processed data to generate processed data as a function of SOC, regressing the process data function at multiple SOCs over the region of interest with respect to an equation which is representative of the battery to obtain values for parameters not associated with SOC and to generate a curve that evaluates each SOC for accuracy and chance likelihood of fit, selecting the SOC that minimizes both the error and chance occurrence, and outputting the selected SOC for display to the user on a user interface.

摘要: An optical bench 10 is cast from a single piece of material and provided with a number of optical component supports 14 which extend upwardly from a base 12. The optical component supports 14 are integral with the base 12, increasing their rigidity. The bench 10 may be cast with additional material in strategic areas to allow for future optimization of the bench 10—for example, the mounting of specific optical components throughout the bench 10. Further, the bench 10 may be provided with regions 24, 26, and 28 of varying rigidity by placing support struts 68 closer together in areas where greater rigidity is required. Apertures 30 may be provided in the bench 10 to enable the routing of conduits through the bench 10.

摘要: The subject invention pertains to a method and apparatus for recalibrating and/or estimating a battery's state of charge (SOC). The subject invention is advantageous in situations where the battery infrequently, if ever, reaches a full charge and/or a full discharge. In a specific embodiment, the subject method and apparatus can utilize a battery's voltage and/or current, and/or changes in a battery's voltage and/or current with time, to recalibrate and/or estimate the battery's SOC. The method and apparatus of the subject invention can monitor various parameters relating to the condition of the battery in order to determine where on the open circuit voltage (OCV) versus SOC curve, the dOCV/dSOC versus SOC curve, and/or d2OCV/dSOC2 versus SOC curve the curve the battery is and, in a specific embodiment, when the battery reaches inflection point of the OCV versus SOC curve. Alternatively, the second derivative of the curve can be monitored to determine when the battery is outside a certain region, such as the 30% to 70% SOC region. If desired, the variation of the OCV versus SOC curve with respect to temperature and/or battery age can be taken into account during the determination of SOC in order to enhance the accuracy of such SOC determination.
