摘要: An interspinous process spacer for implantation in an interspinous space between a superior spinous process and an inferior spinous process includes a balloon-like body, a first deployable protrusion and a second deployable protrusion. The body has a distal end, a proximal end and a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal and distal ends. The spacer is arrangeable in an unexpanded configuration and an expanded configuration. The first deployable protrusion is mounted proximate the proximal end and the second deployable protrusion is mounted proximate the distal end. The first and second deployable protrusions are oriented generally parallel to the longitudinal axis in the unexpanded configuration and generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis in the expanded configuration.

摘要: An occluding device for closing a body passage comprises an occluding body (1), a first position control element (2) and a second position control element (3). The occluding body (1) is a balloon made of a flexible and fluid tight material without shape memory property. The occluding body (1) comprises a proximal chamber (10) and a distal chamber (11) and a connecting Channel (12) connecting these two chambers (10, 11). The occluding body (1) is compressible into a first longitudinal shape. A proximal end of the occluding body (1) is attached to the first position control element (2) and the distal end of the balloon is attached to the second position control element (3). The first position control element (2) and the second position control element (3) are two matching parts of a fluid tight closure of the balloon. No additional stiffening means for stiffening the balloon in its third radially extended but longitudinally compressed State are arranged within the occluding body (1).

摘要: A device (1), e.g. an intravascular device, for removing an element, e.g. vascular occluding element (33), from within a lumen, e.g. a vascular lumen of a patient is described, comprising a tubular catheter body (4) made of a flexible material, with a proximal end (3), which in use is located outside of the body of the patient, and a distal end (2), which in use is located in the or at the lumen of the patient, and with a central duct (40) through which further devices (7, 14, 35) can be guided to the lumen of the patient from the outside of the patient, wherein the tubular catheter body (4) comprises a distal expansion area (25), which expansion area (25) has a contracted or folded state (26) in which the outside diameter of the expansion area (25) is substantially equal to the outside diameter of the tubular catheter body (4), and which expansion area (25) can be brought into a stiff expanded state (27) in the or at the lumen of the patient, wherein the expanded state (27) comprises an at least partially conical portion opening towards the distal end, such that an occluding element (33) can be drawn into the expansion area (25) in its expanded state (27). Such a device may be used for removal of an occluding implant which had been positioned incorrectly before or which had moved. Furthermore methods for making such a device (1) are disclosed as well as methods for using such adevice.

摘要: The digital electronic circuit (1) includes a logic cell (2) for processing data (82) , a flip-flop (3) for storing data (83) processed in the logic cell (2), a power supply (4), and a clock (5) for triggering the flip-flop (3) . The logic cell (2) is disconnected from the power supply (4) when the clock (5) is not active, as it is not needed for memorizing of the flip-flop states, and connected with the power supply (4) when the clock (5) is enabled. For switching the power supply, a switch (7) switched by the clock enable (6) is arranged between the logic cell (2) and the power supply (4). Such a simple additional switch (7) occupies only a relatively small area on the chip, but permits a drastic reduction by about 90% of the leakage currents. The circuit (1) is especially design and may be used for instance in mobile telecommunication devices.

摘要: A method is provided for delivering a medical device to the heart of a patient including the steps of providing a medical device such as an occluder; providing a delivery equipment for delivering the medical device to the heart; performing a transthoracic puncture; introducing the delivery equipment and the device through the puncture to a location in the heart; implanting the device within the location; detaching the device from the delivery equipment and removing the delivery equipment from the heart of the patient. This method enables a correction of the ventricular septal defect.
