    摘要: Apparatus, methods, and fabrics for dewatering a nascent paper web, carried in a web sandwich, in a dewatering section of a papermaking machine. Water is driven from the web by a combination of mechanical pressure and compressed air, both typically applied in a nip. The mechanical pressure and air pressure can be applied in the same nip, or in separate nips, where the mechanical pressure is applied upstream, in the papermaking machine, from the air pressure application. The mechanical pressure can be lower than pressures used in conventional press sections of known papermaking machines. Air pressure is that pressure which can be contained in a seal section between the web sandwich and the structure supplying the air. Fabrics supporting the nascent paper web through the air dewatering station have limited lateral air flow under compressed air conditions, whereby air flows generally perpendicularly through the web being dewatered.

    摘要: A tablet assembly that can support various electronic devices in different orientations. Generally, the tablet assembly includes a tablet frame for supporting one or more repositionable, modular electronic device housings. Repositioning allows the housings to be arranged in different configurations to suit the handedness or desires of an operator of the electronic devices. The electronic device housings define receptacles that are configured to receive the electronic devices but still allow their operation. In addition, the housings may include communications connections that interconnect the housings, and the electronic devices to allow them to communicate with each other. Further, the table frame may be configured to extend outwards from the electronic device housings so as to provide gripping surfaces and impact resistance to protect the electronic devices contained therein.

The port assembly includes a port, a mounting ring, a retaining ring and a central member mounted within the mounting ring. The mounting ring and the retaining ring can be fabricated from a single piece of material, thus combining the functions of both rings into a single retaining coupler. The mounting ring includes a cone-shaped port in which the port diameter corresponding to the external surface is smaller than the port diameter corresponding to the internal surface. The central member is cone-shaped such that it fits within the mounting ring.

The method is comprised of the steps of boring a port in a cavitation chamber wall, positioning a cone-shaped member within a corresponding cone-shaped surface of a mounting ring, positioning the mounting ring within the port, and locking the mounting ring within the port with a retaining ring. The largest diameter of the cone-shaped member corresponds to the cavitation chamber internal surface. The member can be a window, gas feed-thru, liquid feed-thru, mechanical feed-thru, sensor, sensor coupler, transducer coupler or plug. The member can be secured within the mounting ring with an adhesive. The retaining ring can be coupled to the cavitation chamber external surface with one or more bolts. The port in the cavitation chamber is preferably cone-shaped with the largest diameter of the port corresponding to the cavitation chamber external surface. If the mounting ring and the retaining ring are combined into a single retaining coupler, the cavitation chamber port can be either cone-shaped with the largest diameter of the port corresponding to the cavitation chamber external surface or the port can be cylindrically shaped.
