摘要: A Common Bus Structure for Avionics and Satellites (CBSAS) (10) as shown in FIG. 1 is comprised of a module lid (14), module floor (38), module stack base (16), module compression bolts (22) and stackable modules (12). Stackable modules (12) are sub-dividable to create module scaled chamber volumes (45) individually as required, while stackable modules (12) simultaneously create at least one collectively continuous raceway sealed chamber volume (44) perpendicular to individual stackable modules (12) in the vertical direction where no module floor (38) is present, in order to internally electrically interconnect the contents of any stackable module (12) with the contents of any other stackable module (12) via internal connector raceway system (24). Raceway sealed chamber volume (44) therefore collectively and continuously traverses all present stackable modules (12) positioned between module lid (14) and module stack base (16). Modules are interchangeable and inter-connectable in any order, and contain all required electronic or mechanical components required for CBSAS (10) to function as a single box consolidated avionics system that is equally functional in the atmosphere or the vacuum of space, while also being fully functional as a single complete stand-alone satellite system. CBSAS (10) enables a paradigm shift in the aerospace industry whereby all legacy and current multiple black-box systems on aerospace platforms such as missiles, rockets, satellites and aircraft are extremely inefficient when compared to the size, weight and power attributes of CBSAS (10). The ability for CBSAS (10) to be instantly employable as either a single box consolidated avionics system for use within the atmosphere or in space while also being fully functional as a stand-alone satellite enables a hardware, firmware and software capability never before manifested in the aerospace industry.

摘要: An advanced power system employing lithium polymer pouch cells which operates in all environments from atmospheric pressures, upward and through to the harsh and demanding realm of a space vacuum, including any aerospace related environments of launch, flight or operation for satellites, missiles, rockets, aircraft, or on any vehicle where size and weight may or may not be of critical importance but where power output is desired to be maximized, this invention is an new manifestation, arrangement, combination, architecture and application of lithium polymer battery technology in the form of an advanced lithium polymer system (ALPS) for aerospace or similar environments that require an architecture resulting in the never-before contemplated, attempted or demonstrated integrated combination of attributes of safety, modularity, scalability, expandability, deployability, employability, practicality, intelligence control and radiation hardening, while being comprised of any number of stacked flat lithium polymer battery cells physically arranged and integrated within a constraining packaging enclosure that maximizes safety and power density while mitigating the debilitating effects of shock, vibration, thermal cycle, vacuum, radiation and electromagnetic interference while simultaneously communicating electronically with a battery management system that provides instant autonomous cell protection, balancing and electronically isolated real-time monitoring of all individual cell parameters of voltage, current, temperature, state of charge and internal resistance to prevent battery catastrophic thermal runaway events caused by cell electrolyte leakage, overcharge and internal defects while simultaneously being capable of interfacing with a hardwired graphical human interface and remote telemetry system that monitors and displays all cell parameters with visibility down to the individual cell level allowing for cell parameter data to be continually monitored and archived and used to characterize and screen out cells in a particular cell manufacturing lot, and also to identify in real-time via prognostic software if a particular cell is entering a non-acceptable condition prior to displaying hazardous behavior which could result in a hazardous condition.

摘要: A safety fastener for mounting fitting equipment such as suspension and retention systems onto a ballistic helmet. The nut portion of the fastener fits substantially within a grommet that is attached to a strap that forms part of the suspension or retention systems. The nut retains, rather than clamps, the grommet to the helmet. The grommet can be pulled off the nut. The pull-out force is less than the fastener fracture force. The configuration of the fastener allows ballistic threat energy to be absorbed by helmet deformation and delamination along with grommet pull-out to provide energy dissipation in stages which avoids the creation of secondary projectiles from the fastener itself.

摘要: This invention relates to a system and method of processing print order requests in a print system comprising a central print controller, a plurality of remote print customers and a plurality of remote print suppliers, the central print controller being connected to the plurality of remote print customers and the plurality of remote print suppliers by way of a communications network. Print customers transmit their print order requests to one central print controller. The central print controller will have information relating to a number of print suppliers stored in the central print controller database and can ascertain which of the print suppliers is the most suitable print supplier for executing a particular order. The central print controller is able to obtain the different protocols and data formats used in the proprietary database systems of the print supplier from its own central print controller database and may then format the print order request into a format suitable for receipt by the print supplier.

摘要: A combination backpack and garment carrying apparatus is disclosed. The combination backpack and garment carrying apparatus includes a back plate, a cover, a frame, and garment segments. These pieces combined together create a combination backpack and garment carrying apparatus that allows the wearer to easily access, store, and carry a costume. The wearer activates a switch on the combination backpack and garment carrying apparatus and opens the lids allowing the garment segments to fall out and be pulled over the wearer's arms, legs, and head.
