    摘要： A power cutting tool includes a cutting surface, a conductive structure, and first electrode matrix comprising an array of electrical conductors. A moveable blade used to cut an object is located on the cutting surface. When at least one electrical conductor of the first electrode matrix is energized relative to the conductive structure, an electric field extends between the at least one electrical conductor and the conductive matrix to detect the presence of an object in proximity to the electric field.

    摘要： A powder storage and delivery system for a drug powder inhaler has a carrier disk with a blister shell sealed by a shear layer. A tab is adhered to the shear layer, underneath the blister shell. The carrier disk is placed into a dry powder inhaler. An actuator pushes against the tab, causing the shear layer to tear away, releasing the powder drug contents from the blister into the dry powder inhaler. A disk carrier has bursting blisters with a brittle blister shell sealed with a foil lid, and covered by a plate. An actuator moves against the plate, causing the plate to buckle and the blister shell to burst open, releasing powdered drug into the dry powder inhaler.

    摘要： An extendable edge reference tool is disclosed. A first segment having a extending end and a receptacle end is provided. The receptacle end includes a coupling mechanism for joining a second segment using an over-center locking force to secure said second segment to said first segment. This tool provides for a useful continuous reference edge over extended distances through adjoining segments. Each segment is suitably compact to be easy stowed. The segments are useful individually. The segments can be joined to extend tool to lengths useful in common construction tasks.
